Terry Hall has died

You may not know the name, but I'd guess some of you know the band he fronted, The Specials. He was also the singer for Fun Boy Three and a few lesser known bands. He was only 63. RIP.

I was (and still am) a huge fan of Ska Revival bans like the Specials.  Sad to learn that Terry's passed.

Sad to hear this news this morning.

I must admit Terry Hall had been off my musical radar for some years now, but I remember the glory days of The Specials and The Fun Boy Three.

The whole Two Tone thing became big very quickly in UK and I purchased the debut self titled album way back in 1979 (gosh, is it really that long?) A super album btw.

I must say there's been a lot of famous deaths lately where they say things like "after a short illness",  "cause of death is not known", "natural causes" etc.

RIP, Terry.    I loved listening to the Specials. He also was the co writer of the Go Go's hit  "Our Lips Are Sealed", about the brief relationship he had with Jane Wiedlin. 63 is so young!
