A - not sure, looks like the A from Black Sabbath, but that doesn't start with A and it's not really alternative

B - Bauhaus?

C - The Clash

D - Daft Punk

E - I really don't know... Eagles Of Death Metal?

F - Foo Fighters

G - Gorillaz

H - Husker Du

I - INXS

J - I really don't know this one... reminds me of an Alice Cooper font

K - The Killers

L - I don't know this either

M - this one looks super familiar, I'd probably know it on a different day

N - Nirvana

O - Oasis

P - Pixies

Q - This looks familiar... maybe Queens Of The Stone Age

R - Radiohead I think

S - The Strokes, gotta be

T - I'm stumped on this one. Looks more metal than alternative.

U - U2

V - The Verve

W - Weezer

X - erm... XTC? Not a lot of bands that start with X, though I can't say I'm quite sure I've seen this X before.

Y - It really looks like the Yon one of Yes' greatest hits albums, but I really doubt that's what it is

Z - My final guess: Zappa?

 

EDIT: I just figured out A. It's gotta be from Arctic Monkeys.

 

EDIT 2: It's not the R from Radiohead, it's the R from Ramones. Sure of it now.

B is Blur

I is from PIL (INXS is the X on the rock poster).

J is The Jam.

R I think is REM from Out Of Time.

X is definitely XTC from the English Settlement album.

Y is from Sonic Youth's debut LP cover. Makes it trickier when it's not the first letter of the artist!

 

I'm with you on Daft Punk, Foos, Huskers, Killers, Nirvana, Oasis, Pixies, Strokes, Verve and Weezer though.
