Fordgalaxy
I couldn't locate a thread about hip hop (maybe because it won't let you search for three letter words like hip, hop, or rap  ) but if there is one, there'll be two (or more) now. As a fan of some old school rap like the YO! MTV Raps era, I figured there may be others that liked that or even newer stuff. I ran across this video earlier today and immediately recognized the "Woo-Hah" parts. I had no idea who performed it but now that I do, I'm starting a thread with it. Feel free to add any and all of the ones you like. RIP ODB. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFrl7rnCx4A Edited December 22, 2021 by Fordgalaxy
invisible airwave
The aforementioned Busta and Missy made the best music videos of the genre. They owe a lot to Peter Gabriel's videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjIvu7e6Wq8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opkRF3UZSJw Edited December 22, 2021 by invisible airwave
RUSHHEAD666
The first four RUN DMC albums are masterpieces. I was lucky enough to see the RAISING HELL Tour in Oakland. 1986. I was a senior in high school. Whodini and LL Cool J opened. Two other rap outfits l loved! I still have my Raising Hell Tour Book!! It was an incredible show!! Personally I think it's sad what's going on in our world today.Back then RUN DMC was smart enough to fuse rap with rock. The whole Aerosmith combo was EPIC!No one gave a crap about color. Rap and rock merged every color and race together. Well that's what my young mind thought at the time.A bunch of white kids and black kids together in a sold out venue. Rocking out and rapping out! No fights, no nothing. It was FUN!!!!

Mosher
As to rock/rap fusion efforts there's obviously Rage and Urban Dance Squad, not to mention the Judgment Night soundtrack.
Mosher
Another fun rock/hip hop crossover is Clutch's "Careful With that Mic..." It's intended as a satire of rap-rock but actually works really well as a great example of the form.
