Entre_Perpetuo Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 Welp, here's two I haven't listened to yet, but I know the bands!
bluefox4000 Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 Huey alll the way. Fore! is a great record.. i love Chicago but just the kath era. pop Chicago got too sugary even for me, lol Mick
zepphead Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 I'm not really a big fan of Chicago, and certainly not later Chicago stuff so Huey gets both votes.
grep Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 (edited) I'm pretty sure rock music wouldn't be what it is without the first 4 or 5 Chicago albums. I hear stuff in those records that didn't exist before, but ideas and themes were picked up by many later in the 70's. So for influence, and just great music itself Chicago for me. Early Chicago. Kath era Chicago. No shade on Huey, he's great and all. But I don't think he's had as much of an influence. With that said, Fore is a great album. Edited May 19, 2021 by grep 1
RushFanForever Posted May 19, 2021 Posted May 19, 2021 Canadian singer-songwriter Ian Thomas wrote 'Chains' that Chicago covered. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTzwaXzPnDA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVTWHcCeDH4 I prefer Ian's version. 2
