ytserush Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 I got a cheap Vapor Trails era poster on eBay but it looks pretty good in a frame! Sadly, this one is sitting in a closet shelf. I've opted to have the lithograph from that album framed and hung instead. For a minute I thought you were going to say that I bought your closet poster, lol. You might have at some point. More in the closet than hanging up unfortunately. If I were smart, I'd do some kind of rotation thing. Did sell a few off though. 1
vaportrailer Posted May 24, 2019 Posted May 24, 2019 The Book about Keith Moon Showed up today...the Kindle book showed up that same day I did the ordering... Have you started this one yet, ORF? I bought it when it came out. Compelling stuff. The author has certainly done his research. If you can find it, Dougal Butler's "Full Moon" is stupidly full of ridiculous road stories. The Indian restaurant story is a stand-out. :o I think it's rather rare, but you might find a cheap copy somewhere. It's actually quite heartwarming in spots, and heart-breaking in others. Happy reading! 1

Looks like it's not so rare on Amazon! I'll have to see if there are any hard back editions...Maybe even an E edition... Yeah, looks like there are a few used copies out there. That's good news, ORF!I've never seen or noticed a hardcover edition for sale. It was published in the UK (I think) as "Moon the Loon" so you might have better luck with that title. The author, Peter "Dougal" Butler, was Keith's right-hand-man throughout the 1970s. He obviously loved Moonie, despite airing some slightly dirty laundry. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-l60S2EPJS7s/UZmTpf3_uQI/AAAAAAAATCE/8ffq20nlI5Q/s1600/LAplayboy75.jpgRight to left: the author, the savant, the Starr, Sleepy Stills. Missing from picture: a bottle of brandy, a bag of cocaine, and four hookers. :D 1

I remember the song "Holiday" from this album and that it was the first hit from them since "Love Hurts" as far as AOR U.S. radio play went back then! I LOVE E-books. you can format the pages, lettering, all so I can read it easily...It's a fascinating read, also! That's great that you were able to find it as an e-book!I wonder what kind of legal hurdles (if any) had to be cleared, as names are not changed, and some of the stories are...well, you'll see! Did the e-book come with the very helpful slang glossary? It's pretty ridiculous! 1
