Lessons is the deepest of the deep. Great tune with very little love. Heck I would argue Something For Nothing is a "deep cut". If it weren't on ATWAS I would submit that it's largely forgotten... Edited by Narps

Wasn't aware people still made mix CDs. Overall it's a good list.

Ghost Of A Chance was actually a pretty big radio hit for them. Not sure that qualifies as deep or not.

What do you mean by "deep cuts"?

Deep cuts are songs that only the diehard fans of a band would like/know. So pretty much 95 percent of Rush's catalog.

I s'pose that's true. I guess for me it's deep because I don't listen much to that album.

Might actually make this disc for the car.

I suppose we could also compile a bunch of songs that make you go, "Whoa. That's . . . like . . . deeeep."

Your thread has made me sad. I prefer "CUTS LIKE A KNIFE" by Bryan Adams. Another wonderful Canadian guitar player with great pipes.

Yes, "Ghost Of A Chance" cuts me deeply every time I hear this song. One of my all time favorite RUSH songs.

However back in 1995 when I married my ex-wife Wendy, I choose "Ghost Of A Chance" to be played as our first dance together. Shit that just rhymed.

It was the perfect song for our marriage. Thought I would have been with her until my very last breath. But now the words "till death do us part" are meaningless to me.

Hell I even had my DJ play "The Sphere" as Wendy walked down the aisle to me. Most people at the wedding had no clue about "The Sphere" yet many were sobbing as they heard the words.

It is what it is.

Nothing lasts forever. Just my unconditional love for my parents, brother, his family and of course my amazing girls.

It truly is a ghost of a chance that you can find someone to love and make it last. I thought I had it. 21 years. FAIL.

My mom and dad? 55 years. TRUE LOVE!

For my ears there are no deep cuts.

I absolutely love every RUSH song from RUSH to "Counterparts."

Then it gets dicey.

"ROLL THE BONES" RUSH FREAKS!

"All the best freaks are here!!"

Love,

MARILLION

Sorry that all came crashing back. Believe me, I know how it feels.

I know you do my friend.

It's ok!

I am good.

It sucks being a nostalgic nerd like me.

I will never change.

However I will never marry again.

We are all connected. All of us. Males Females. We all go through shite. Yet we all love RUSH.

I believe in monogamy and love. It just didn't work out.

I wish you well my friend.

Hey, life isn't fair. We all know this reality.

True Love can happen!!!!

I know. You don't need marriage to be in a monogamous loving long term forever relationship.

If I ever find a woman again who will tolerate me and love me forever for who I am then yes, I will open up that avenue once again.

However marriage? NO WAY!

"Seventh Avenue"

Toymaker.

I wish you healing. I wish you the best.

I hope you will grow stronger every day.

I am sure you will be fine.

It's such a cliche but "time is a healer."

I love my life and my freedom.

I love my rock and roll.

I live for it.

Listening to some LOUDNESS right now.

Timing is everything. My favorite song.

"LET IT GO" is playing.

We all need to let it go and move on.

Life is better going ahead.

So much shit and tragedy in the world.

Just take care of you.

Be strong.

Everything will fall into place.

RUSH ON!

We hear Lakeside Park on the local rock stations up here all the time - but still a cool addition to the list.

So do we have to only choose 1 track from each album as on your list? Or do we have free reign to arrange it anyway we wish? I would have to make a double CD - so ...

DISC 1:

In the End

The Necromancer

Lessons

Something for Nothing

Cinderella Man

Entre Nous

Different Strings

The Camera Eye

DISC 2:

Grand Designs

Second Nature

Chain Lightning

Neurotica

Everyday Glory

Cut to the Chase

Time and Motion

How It Is

We Hold On
