  1. I love the 60's Spiderman meme...soooo funny. http://s3.amazonaws.com/kym-assets/photos/images/original/000/110/834/1301181281127.jpg http://s3.amazonaws.com/kym-assets/photos/images/original/000/110/265/tumblr_lis1dbwVfU1qc0uzwo1_500.jpg http://s3.amazonaws.com/kym-assets/photos/images/original/000/110/545/tumblr_lihynlRomV1qzr81to1_400.jpg '60s Spider-Man | Know Your Meme
  2. Was his first/middle name Chris P. by any chance?
  3. The Office (US) Parks And Recreation 30 Rock Arrested Development Seinfeld
  4. Aside from the top four, which are set in stone forever, this list changes from time to time. Usually it's pretty consistently the same. 1. The Who - Quadrophenia 2. Yes - Close to the Edge 3. Rush - Hemispheres 4. Pink Floyd - Meddle 5. The Who - Who's Next 6. The Who - Live at Leeds 7. Steely Dan - Countdown to Ecstasy 8. Paul Simon - Graceland 9. Genesis - Selling England by the Pound 10. Yes - The Yes Album
  5. I dig both solos in Kid Charlemagne by Steely Dan. Larry Carlton is a master. Also, The Grateful Dead's rendition of 'Going Down The Road Feeling Bad' from 'Skull and Roses': Jerry's rip-roaring solo gets me in such a good mood every time I hear it. Pure class imbibed in every single note. So sad he's no longer with us.
  6. All the more beautiful when you realize he was completely deaf when he wrote this. Just stunningly gorgeous. Never fails to tear me up. I remember reading somewhere that even Chopin himself said that he "would never again write such a beautiful melody"
  7. If they do it, they should release it in 5 album sets. Something like 'Rush' through 'All The Worlds A Stage' as the first one, and 'A Farewell To Kings' through 'Exit...Stage Left' as the second one and so on and so forth. Much better than having all 26 studio and live albums in one mammoth, overweight crazybox.
  8. Can't believe this hasn't been posted yet: http://www.cinemaretro.com/uploads/WAYNE2.jpg "Fill your hands, you son of a bitch!"
  9. I recently got into them this past month, American Beauty is my favorite by them; Sugar Magnolia is a gorgeous song.
  10. Mine has to be Countdown to Ecstasy...one perfect song after another; just flawless. So which is your favorite?
  11. I was dissapointed that True Grit didn't win anything. True Grit was one of the best films i've ever seen. Perfectly executed.
  12. http://thefilmstage.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/blazing_saddles_2_crop.jpg "Well, it got so that every piss-ant prairie punk who thought he could shoot a gun would ride into town to try out the Waco Kid. I must have killed more men than Cecil B. DeMille. It got pretty gritty. I started to hear the word "draw" in my sleep. Then one day, I was just walking down the street when I heard a voice behind me say, "Reach for it, mister!" I spun around... and there I was, face-to-face with a six-year old kid. Well, I just threw my guns down and walked away. Little bastard shot me in the ass. So I limped to the nearest saloon, crawled inside a whiskey bottle, and I've been there ever since." Blazing Saddles is likely my favorite movie.
  13. Kids In The Hall, Parks And Recreation and the UK version of The Office all have great theme songs. I'm actually considering covering the KITH theme song in my band.
  14. I LOOOOVEEEE Netflix. I don't even watch TV anymore due to the instant streaming function on my Xbox. I have watched entire series all the way through at least twice due to Netflix. It's how I got into The Office, Parks And Recreation and Dexter. It also helped me find old cartoons from my childhood; gave me a good whiff of nostalgia. So yeah, Netflix is worth every penny.
  15. The 'Eclipse' section in the Yes tune 'And You And I' is so epic and powerful. It's even better live. Especially when Chris Squire is using his Taurus bass pedals to accompany the rest of the band; sends chills up your spine. Another great moment is first guitar solo in Pink Floyd's 'Echoes'; the one where it comes in with that fuzzed note and goes into this absolutely perfect clean toned solo that tugs at your heart. Just perfect in every way. Just two moments out of dozens that are really, truly awesome.
  16. I quite like this show and the idea behind it, but I feel it suffers from the all too common 'reality show syndrome' in which they blow stupid scripted drama way out of proportion and make the show into something it's not. It's like a nice day at the range meets "The Real World" or "Survivor" - sort of a toss-up if you ask me.
  17. To me, love is: you can't imagine life without that person, and just the thought of seeing that person again fills you with such intense joy and happiness that you can't contain yourself. Just my experience with this strange and wonderful thing called love.
  18. Echoes by Pink Floyd is the most amazing collection of sounds in the whole of the universe.
  19. Walking around listening to Black Sabbath makes me feel like a total badass.
  20. Neil is probably the best, but I gotta go with Bill Bruford as a sentimental favorite; he's part of the reason I fell in love with the Fragile album the first time I heard it. He treats the Drums like a melodic instrument; he's a percussion auteur. True master of his craft.
  21. WALL-E is a beautiful movie. One of the few movies to make me tear up. It's one of my favorites.
  22. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Jan 5 2011, 07:54 PM)QUOTE (In A Tidewater Surge @ Jan 5 2011, 10:46 PM) QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Jan 5 2011, 08:31 PM) Eat a Peach by The Allman Brothers Band is probably the best double album ever recorded. I'm sorry sir, but that honor belongs to The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. London Calling, baby, London Calling. *Ahem* Quadrophenia?
  23. Aside from the epic saga-ish films (Star Wars, LOTR etc...) my ten favorite movies are as follows: The Fisher King The Big Lebowski The Man Who Wasn't There The Godfather Fargo Monty Python's Life of Brian Forrest Gump Annie Hall Radio Days WALL-E In no particular order of course; and as you can tell, I'm a big Coen Brothers fan; I honestly can't think of a bad Coen brothers movie.
