  1. I hope so, as they skipped Denver and a lot of other places too
  2. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 19 2012, 03:22 PM) I'd probably get hunted by expert professionals with an array of weapons, until death... ^^ This is me! Somebody would've taken me down a LONG time ago!!
  3. To answer the OP's question there is no other Rush reference in the movie, I asked my daughter who saw it.
  4. I try to buy the hormone/antibiotic free meat when I can. When it goes on sale (it is expensive as SS above said) I stock up. I have learned that Costco is REALLY choosey about what they sell and the companies that they get the meat from have to go thru way more stringent rules than the FDA requires in order for Costco to use their product, and it's cheaper there.
  5. QUOTE (Earthshine @ Jun 18 2012, 08:51 PM) QUOTE (SchemingDemon @ Jun 18 2012, 03:50 AM) QUOTE (Earthshine @ Jun 17 2012, 10:47 PM) I cannot stand it that people are so RUDE to stand throughout a concert, no matter where they are sitting in the venue. Smaller people cannot see when people stand up. I have been to concerts where I am almost standing on my toes to see anything. Standing ought to be outlawed. Sit down or be thrown out! Stand on your seat No! That just perpetuates the problem and is RUDE to the person behind me! Doesn't anyone GET it?! We "get" it, I "get" it I'm 5'2" but I cannot imagine sitting for a Rush show. I'm moving to the music just as almost everyone is this thread has said. It's a rock concert you can't expect people to sit, it will never happen!
  6. QUOTE (RUSHHEAD666 @ Jun 18 2012, 10:55 PM) QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Jun 17 2012, 05:18 PM) QUOTE (RUSHHEAD666 @ Jun 16 2012, 04:23 PM) QUOTE (LyndseyG @ Jun 16 2012, 02:05 PM) The Garden is the song that plays in my head more than the others. I can't get "it is what it is and whatever" out of my head!! Addicting! I have to take the night off from "Clockwork Angels." I was up until 3 AM last night playing my Ovation to "The Wreckers" and "The Garden." I am seriously gonna get slapped upside the head by someone in my house as this is all I keep saying in reply to EVERYTHING, no arguing or fighting just, it is what it is - and whatever Hahahahaha!! You and I were destined to meet!! I'm the same way at home with Wendy!!!! WOW!! We Rush Fanatics must stick together! Wendy and I will see you in Vegas right? Yep, I'll be there. Pick the meet-up place before the show and let me know.
  7. I've got tickets for this one Earl, and with all those great hotels/restaurants no tailgating ala Red Rocks necessary. I too hope to make it for the 2013 Vegas leg, so let me know Pedro!
  8. QUOTE (Kelly D @ Jun 19 2012, 09:22 AM) QUOTE (CrossedSignals @ Jun 15 2012, 04:15 PM) Oh and happy birthday, Kelly D! Cheers to the only Rush fan under 25 who's been to 17 shows! Oh, there's gotta be another one out there! . . . Maybe? My friend MermaidoftheLunarSea has been a fan longer than I have so she may win that title Pretty sure I got that beat...starting seeing Rush live in 1976 at the age of 12.
  9. QUOTE (metaldad @ Jun 19 2012, 05:31 AM) Aerosmith -R.I.P. 1973 -1980 ^^ This!!!!
  10. QUOTE (Snaked @ Jun 19 2012, 05:38 AM) ask me in a year. ^^ I think you would get a lot of different answers if you waited a year. For me though it will ALWAYS be 2112!
  11. 2112! I would never have known about CA if I hadn't heard 2112 back in 1976, and became a fan, that's the way I think about it. 2112 is a classic, not saying that CA won't be, but it is Rush, raw, at their best, for that time period IMHO!
  12. Can't wait until this starts up again next month.
  13. QUOTE (ScottT67 @ Jun 19 2012, 10:06 AM) "Scott This is Rushchick..." ROTF! - That gave me a nice morning Laugh! Nice touch! Cyber Speed Dating within the forum! Hi Rush Chick! - Are you going to be at the Vegas show in November? What If I like Rush more than you? Is that okay? If I'm going to flirt with Rush girls, I guess I should post a recent pic in my forum profile! lol! The shot of me with Lerxt, & Dirk was the S&A tour. My hair is much longer, and I'm 20 pounds less today! Love is in the air You have a better chance than ever of finding a girl at a Rush show nowadays. One of these days I'll pay attention to the guys around me at the show instead of drooling at Geddy

    Tears......

This is one of my favorite Rush tunes, always has been. I would love to hear it live this tour
  15. QUOTE (EmotionDetector @ Jun 18 2012, 09:44 AM) QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Jun 18 2012, 12:11 PM) 3/1976, 2112 tour Yeah, ED, I'm old actually I was 12. I got in to this band at that age and a female to boot. There were so many shows where I was the ONLY girl in the audience!
  16. It truly means more to the fans than the band as stated by Alex clearly in gompers post above! I honestly hope if they are ever offered the chance they turn them down. Unfortunately, as Alex also said, they are Canadian and polite and they would probably pay $25,000 for a table and accept the nomination. I think it would be best if the fans followed the band and let it go. They are very happy with the awards they have received in their own country, which mean more to them than the RRHoF ever could. Trenken, they may have not been "innovators" but how many bands that are in the RRHoF would not be in there, if not for Rush's influence on their lives/music????? Dude, I don't get you and why you post such hatred for Rush
  17. Think of songs with strings from the back catalog, that's what I think we'll get. Some of those may be songs played live for the first time because of the addition of the strings. I would really like to hear Tears before they retire and of course Nobody's Hero (lol) and Faithless would be awesome too.
  18. I don't think they will play strings on songs that didn't have them to begin with. CA obviously has a lot as do other songs from the past that they didn't play because they don't have a string section in the band. It will give us a chance to hear older songs with strings that we may never have had the chance to hear live. An added bonus of "never played tunes" before they retire.
  19. So sad, so young! His plea to stop the riots , "Can we all get along" will always stay with me.
  20. QUOTE (RUSHHEAD666 @ Jun 17 2012, 11:11 PM) QUOTE (Scottjf8 @ Jun 17 2012, 07:44 PM) No! We heard 2 songs last tour, and I don't wanna hear them or BU2B2. My list is Carnies Seven cities Wreckers CA Wish them well They must play "The Garden!!!" ^^ agree Earl! I think they will get as much of it in the set list as they can, but probably not all of it.
