Iowa's Clark with only 4 second half points through the 2:30 mark in Q4. Turnovers and missed shots by Indy the only thing keeping Iowa in this game...they capitalize well with quick fast break and transition buckets. But 19% from 3pt range has sealed their fate. Kudos to the Hoosiers. Nice win! (85-69 with 1 min to go)

Hoosiers go on a tear and get it up to 15pts. Clark had only 2pts in Q3 and is scoreless here in the 4th. Officials have been busy, with numerous calls on both offenses for blocking. The physical play is benefitting Indy for sure, and affecting Iowa shooters' legs.

Indy's gone cold on the offensive end vs. the Iowa 1-3-1 zone, and the lead is down to 8pts at the end of Q3. Poor shooting ignited Iowa's transition game for some easy buckets, however, the Hoosier half court game continues to give Iowa fits. Q4 underway and Indy kicks it off with a quick bucket...

IU lead is now 16, with the Hoosiers bringing the D to Clark & Co.

Iowa women squaring off against Indiana and it's been a war so far. Indy taking a 44-33 lead into halftime, in spite of Caitlin Clark putting up 20pts. Should be a great 2nd half of basketball!

Just started watching it...first three episodes straight through. What a cast! And of course the whole vibe is very fun. It seems that the dark plot lines aren't for everyone, as they literally gave my wife nightmares.

So, a week has passed and we've all had time to calmly look back at the Super Bowl and evaluate each team's play. Looking at SF, what I saw was a defense holding the league's current most successful QB to zero points in the 1st Q and three points in the half, while a supposed high powered Niners offense fails to capitalize on opportunity and only puts up 10 points. The SF defense continues its strong play allowing only a slight second half rebound by KC , while the Niners offense essentially abandons its ground game plan and sputters out, leading to a tie. The head coach then opts to give the opposition - again, led by the league's most successful QB - the distinct advantage of getting the ball second, with predictable results. A frustrated SF franchise quickly responds by shaking things up and does the logical thing: Fire the defensive coordinator.

Rewatching the Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl highlights and two things really jumped out at me. One was the fact that Toney was the hero of the game with a 3rd quarter touchdown and of course the record-setting punt return to set up the winning score. The other takeaway was the Corndog play and the Chiefs running it not just once, but twice in the same game to score TDs. Crazy that SF didn't have it covered better last weekend...though in fairness it was used this last time as a second or third option counter play.
