  1. Neil said it best when he said its easy to play charlie watts drum parts at this age but Rush drum parts are too hard....
  2. miss that place-kinda like a neglected LeStudio
  3. Gup was my 1st Rush concert at maple leaf gardens in 84- The weapon and Count Floyd and the antics was the highlight of that show-great piece
  4. Bands only: Rush The Police The Tragically Hip Genesis Led Zep Yes Pink Floyd Supertramp Triumph Van Halen
  5. Didnt intend to annoy my friend from Buffalo- True enough There isnt much to see there anymore- More depressing than anything .
  6. Choices of Drummers if Geddy and Alex wish to continue .... THIS IS NOT RUSH..... That being said, to offer a vald reply to Rag's post would be Jeremy Taggert(our lady peace CDN ) who worked on Geddy's MFH instead of Matt Cameron who is way to busy right now would be fitting. I know Jeremy personaly- younger stronger and faster to keep up with Ged and Alex .You would get a combo Victor MFH with Jer who also has an arsenal of NP inspired licks up his sleeve... In my Imaginary world.. 1st choice ..Stewart Copeland . imagine the RUSHY-POILICE 3/4 timing that Ged , Alex and Stew could create .... wow ....
  7. a ticket stub from attending the 1981 Canadian Open tennis tourney in toronto seeing Geddy and John McEnenroe Shooting the shit is the earliest thing I have
  8. her Ora and great looks makes her hot and shes cool :laughing guy:
  9. great posts - Feeling sentimental so here it goes.... It is disgusting and im pissed to see the puposeful vandelism/destruction of one of the original lost gems of the music industry as it lied peacefully in the laurentian mountains after it served its pupose for some of the greatest music in our history. There may never be another ( due to always changing technoglogy )of its kind .LeStudio Morin Heights was and forever will be a mecca for Rush fans and will remain the pinnacle of how recording in a studio should be with its spectactular design, landscape , and (what was always during its operation) state of the art technology (SSL#2 )ahead of its time . The hero here is Andre Perry -If it wasnt for his dream building that studio on the lake -an enviromental retreat for musicians- of which musical ideas and recordings could only be generated in a special place in a snap shot of time - those lyrics, chords, songs , drum fills, electricy as a band , and its final product was due the ora and vibe during those sessions of Morin Heights. It simply propelled Rush ( and many other bands-Police ,Kim Mitchell, Bowie etc) to another level. As a die hard RUSH fan first - and a LeStudio junkie 2nd finaly getting to visit LeStudio before the destruction in Nov in 2014 .I belive WE would have never experienced the magic of PW,MP, (ESSL(lestudio mobile seperate but significant) Sig,GUP,Presto,RTB,CP and dont forget neil went there to work on VT after almost "packing it in" It was that soulscape in the mountains that created the vibe to create that music that LIKELY could have never been done anywhere else... As a kid- seeing the 3 Rush videos -the neon sign-the drums on lac perry in 83' was truely inspiring. After experiencing the place in a 1 day walk around and to feel the magic of that setting will always leave that LeStudio neon sign aglow in my lifetime... Yes it is at the fate of a wrecking ball .. Someone should have turned it into a Noth american Music museum of sorts years back -but the significance of that place is so highly underated for all that had the oppurtunity of recording or working there . it was one of a kind . many of here respect the place but realize it is likely done especially over recent years of vandelizm and owners not giving a damn. -I have to agree -you cant dwell on it - However if those walls could talk??? It was a magical place. I cant give up on it yet.... Give me a wining lottery ticket-and we can all party there and record a TRF song after a quick reno to restore some of the iconic signicance the place represents... Long live LeStudio Morin Heights..

  15. Ya- Im shocked that songs off presto had that trebley mix coming out of LeStudio...The album has clarity but weak fullness.there must have been an error on the final mixes.. It wasnt the equiptment used as it was state of the art SSL ???
