  1. I'll never understand the love for this album. A band who, over the course of their career, espoused never looking back musically, made an album that is so full of rehashed music and story (its a terrible re-make of the 2112, Kevin J Anderson is widely considered a hack) and it's topped off with Geddy singing waaaaaay out of range. I like a few songs from it but for the most part, its a big nope from me.
  2. Both Presto and Counterparts shows at Auburn Hills were recorded from the in house video feed. Both are in the wild and I forget which of the 2 appears as bonus footage on one of Rush's officially released sets.
  3. Thanks for sharing that. Great, sad, read. Made me happy they got to have one last normal "boozy dinner" together near the end. Those moments of normalcy are so often lost in those situations.
  4. Dont log in nor post here much, like everyone else, just stunned by the news. RIP Neil, thank you for the music, the wisdom, and the joy. So sad for his wife and daughter and so sad he had so very little time to enjoy his retirement, which we know he was greatly looking towards.
  5. I sincerely hope not, do you say this cause the site is still not up or did I miss something?
  6. Cripes, didn't know they had a new album out. Big fan of LC. Bummed, I see i just missed them in my area. tho they played a far suburb, wth?!?!? Play the big city boys!!! Going to get the new album tonight. Collideoscope is a mixed bag, first half is excellent, 2nd half is so-so I never was able to get into Chair in the Doorway, lacked any of their charisma, it felt bland.
  7. WTH! Paid more than that for this poster at the show. My friend and i got one of the last ones available that night, or so we thought, guess its not so special anymore, blerg.
  8. WGN mentioned it was a good chance a few players and teh cup will be there tonight. SWEEEET!!
  9. Have one seat in Section 6, Row V for face value plus Ticketmaster charges. PM me if you are interested.
  10. Loads of overdubs on ESL, proably the most of all their live albums.
  11. Thanks for the update fj. I got worried today when the site popped up to a godaddy domain is for sale page. I would like to see CP return, if you need assistance I'll do what I can.
  12. Commando is good for a few classic Arnold cheesebag lines. My fav is when Arnie throws a knife into a baddie and a wall and says, "Stick around."
  13. I don't get the whole Sandman is Uncle Ben's killer plot device either. My guess is that somebody is telling Peter/Spidey this in an effort to manipulate Pete/Spidey. Uncle Ben's killer was killed in the first movie.
  14. I agree. It was cool seeing my college alma mater, University of Illinois at Chicago, featured in parts of the movie.
  15. Badassery all around with that trailer. Cant wait.
  16. Who said it was impossible to make the Green Goblin look worse??? The Sandman is the classic look from the comic book, hard to screw that one up. Venom looks cool. I wonder if Venom will be the 'Ultimate' version vs the 'regular' version which is a symbiote from another planet. The ultimate version would be more plausible version and much easier to introduce. Many elements from the first two Spidey movies were taken from the Ultimate books.

  18. QUOTE (troutman @ Oct 1 2006, 12:49 PM) QUOTE (anagramking @ Oct 1 2006, 08:25 AM)QUOTE (Arleen2112 @ Sep 30 2006, 10:40 AM) I like You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan What bothered me about this movie was that one of the central themes was about how big bad business is coming in and laying waste to all good and noble small business in its path, yet here we have Meg Ryan checking her AOL and getting her Starbucks every morning. good point. I do like the movie though I like You Got Mail a lot for some silly reason. My problem with this movie is that Tom Hanks character mind f**ks with Meg Ryans character and it doesnt bother her one bit.
  19. LOL too funny. Good ol tramp stamps.
  20. I believe director/writer Judd Apatow is also part of this group.
  21. The real question is do fans really want to watch a 65 year old Indy Jones??? Personally that doesnt sound exciting/interesting. Id rather see a new actor cast in the role of Young Indiana and do a Young Indy movie. Im interested in other peeps view on a 65 year old Harrison Ford reprising the Indiana Jones role.
