  1. QUOTE (invisibleairwaves @ Aug 21 2012, 09:23 PM) The Protomen- Breaking Out Good stuff ! Usually I'm in disbelief when it comes to comtemporary music, but I need to change this.
  2. Face Up - Great bass/drum chemistry FACE UP -- Face up or you can only back down FACE UP -- Hit the target, or you better hit the ground FACE UP -- There's still time to turn the game around FACE UP -- Turn it up Or turn that wild card down
  3. QUOTE (Enemy Within 77 @ Aug 12 2012, 10:44 AM) QUOTE (Your_Lion @ Aug 12 2012, 09:11 AM) Astronomy by Blue Oyster Cult. Specifically the live version on 'Some Enchanted Evening' with the extended guitar solo. Fantastic. Great solo! Great band ! IMO the greatest American rock band ever
  4. QUOTE (Mr. IsNot @ Aug 9 2012, 07:35 PM) Caress of Steel (1975) Agreed
  5. QUOTE (Sheldon Cooper @ Aug 10 2012, 08:30 PM) Oasis - Don't Look Back In Anger Its been killing me for about a week now. I can't listen to it enough, and I hear it in my head when I can't listen to it. The non-American video, as well as the live in Argentina, are simply perfect. I could watch them over and over. God, I do miss the 90s Bush - Comedown

Presto with it's tupperware drum sound, super thin bass, and Superconductor and Hand Over Fist and Red Tide a terrible trio if ever there was... http://cache.thephoenix.com/secure/uploadedImages/The_Phoenix/Movies/Features/frank_the_tank.jpg "You're... you're crazy, man. Not the same. I agree but you can almost say the same about when Moon died, never made a great/good album agian imo True but a lot of great live performances with Kenney Jones and later with the best moon replacement Zak Starkey. Zak yes, Kenny ? Not so much What about Simon Phillips ?
  10. QUOTE (treeduck @ Apr 2 2012, 04:19 PM) I hate to piss in your cornflakes Marillion fans, but they're the most boring band on God's little green grand sphere... Tolkien would have puked in his beer... And they're softest non-metal pseudo proggers out there... I think Moody Blues wins this contest, great band.
  11. It happens very often to me, as I dont listen too often as I used to. Some of PoW and Signals are daily prayers to me.
  12. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Jul 3 2012, 09:32 PM) QUOTE (goose @ Jul 3 2012, 07:10 PM) QUOTE (Unattractive Truth @ Jul 3 2012, 07:00 PM) At the time of its release, as a 13 year old boy, I thought it was the most revelatory thing I had ever heard. Simply awesome. Maybe it's a set/setting thing? Timing matters in this case. I still love it, especially side 3. Side 3? What's a side? I like the album a lot. I've always liked darker themed stuff and the album takes you on a unique ride with it's writing and the way everything is presented. Long Play(LP) has 2 sides. A double LP constists of 4 sides
  13. Santana/ Mclaughlin - The Life Divine +- 10 minutes
  14. QUOTE (Rushchick10 @ Jun 21 2012, 05:54 PM) QUOTE (ColdFireYYZ @ Jun 19 2012, 11:03 PM) 2. Steve Hogarth-era Marillion is better than the Fish-era. . I will agree with that. Misplaced Childhood was a great album, but I just never could get into very much Fish-era Marillion other than that. Hogarth, on the other hand... +1
  15. QUOTE (goose @ Jun 22 2012, 01:29 AM) QUOTE (HamiltonYYZ @ Jun 21 2012, 11:10 PM) REM - New Adventures In HI-FI Wow. This release is almost universally hated. I like it a lot, though. Yeah, I dont know why is so underrated. To me it's the last "great" record ever made. Leave, Be Mine, E-Bow and Electrolite are classics to my ears. But the key thing is the atmosphere they create. If the world ends today and if I had the time to listen to New Adventures I would die a happy man

  18. QUOTE (H. P. L. @ May 21 2012, 04:04 PM)My choices may seem quite weird... 25 or 6 to 4 - many expanded live versions Not "weird" at all, Terry Kath is one best guitar players ever Life Divine - Santana/Mclaughlin All Us Boys - Toto Wuthering Heights - Kate Bush Ten Years Gone - Led Zeppelin Tunnel Of Love - Dire Straits Para Lennon & Mccartney - Milton Nascimento
  19. I'm stuck in the 90's The "latest" Rush album I have is Different Stages purchased in late 98. As for studio releases I heard every song from Rush to Test for Echo.
  20. Little Feat - They should be at least as big as Greatful Dead.
  21. Fade to Black by Metallica Dancing With Tears In My Eyes by Ultravox ( perfect with the music video) There's No Way Out of Here by David Gilmour (every time I listen is like a punch in the nose, can relate so much with the lyrics)
