I've always been a "Gibson" guy, I've many SG's and couple of LP's, and I loved 'em. Then two years ago, I got 57 RI Strat, and boy was it a shock! The pickups, the neck, the trem, the tuners, everything was differant! I didn't not really like it at first. Fast forward to today, it's my main guitar, it won't do the rythm guitar the way I like, it's ok I have my beloved SG for that, but if I need a solo, I'll go for the Fender. And for some reason, I play better on it...

By the way, the better punk rock came from America (Bad Religion, Operation Ivy (later Rancid) NOFX, Pennywise)

You know, I was really involved some time ago in my town's local Punk scene, and I really got fed up with their attitude. They still believe the Ramones or The Clash are the best bands ever as though no other bands had came during the last 35 years. I almost got in a fight with a guy who was adamant Syd Vicious was a great bass player, obviously, I told him he wasn't , so he answered me something like "it dosen't matter, it's the image and the look that matter", anyway we argued for about half an hour and I ended up calling him "a f***ing groupie". But I still like a lot of punk music, I just find the ideology completely retarded.

Come on it's not that bad! Plus it's an OK show and he'll just make a cameo apperance, they're just treated like any other "big" rock band now! I still want a Simpsons episode with the band, it's like the hall of fame for me!

PT as we have known it is done. I can only hope that the next PT is as awesome as Discipline was to Red, which totally kicked ass. :goodone:

Porcupine Tree is as over as King Crimson was after Red in 1974. They'll come back, and it will be different. SW must be asked 365 times a year when the band will end their hiatus, if he wanted to disband PT, he would have said it.

I absolutely loved the "Stars Die" live version. I thought the sound quality was excellent however I had to turn the volume way up. The audio was recorded way too low. Clear but low if that makes sense. Usually I have an album nice and loud around -17. I had to turn up this album to about -12 to get that same volume. Strange. SW has been pretty vocal about the Loudness War thing, so most of his records are mastered at pretty low volume, I'm fine with that. It's better than records like St Anger or VT (even though I love it, it's sounds weird when played at high volumes)

I have three tatoos. Unless I have my pants off, you can't see them ;)

Thanks! I love this guitar, it's a one of a kind instrument built in workshop in France. It's a killer/keeper.

Every time a new album is released we hear about the japanese import with bonus tracks, or another disc! And they even have their own packaging: the japanese mini vinyl. Why aren't all these things avilable everywhere? Because these mini vinyls look great! and why just JAPAN?!
