  2. wow ... he seemed like a picture of health ... he was one of the best ever ... he had more talent in his pinky than most of today's pop artists have in their whole body's

  7. Robert Freddie James LaBrie Paul Rodgers Rod Stewart all five are/where what I want in a rock singer ... power, range, control, uniqueness, and the ability to deliver a lyric as it was intended by the author
  8. this one line is the inspiration for this whole thread IMO ... there will never be another time of discovery in the genre ... we'll probably never see religious groups picketing a venue because they believe the artist playing that night is trying to get their teens to worship the devil .. the days of our favorite rock star biting off the heads of bats is all but over, probably ... I'm depressing myself now .. I miss the good old days for sure ... but what I ain't missing is great new rock music ... because rock and roll will never die ... ever
  9. one of my least favorite things is the term "true fan" ... it mostly pops up in sports and music ... but I have also been accused of not being a true fan of certain breweries because I didn't like one of their beers .. so silly IMO
  10. haha ... I never got my million !! ... great post EP
  11. They are amazing tbh, way better than Nirvana ever was at least Ehhhhh.... Foos are decent. I think Ghrol does a fine job apeing his influences. However, Nirvana Unplugged is an album that DG could never top. They should be immortalized for that alone. I could just never get into the "I'm depressed and I want to die" music ... To each his own though ... I do like cobains vocals on some of their tunes ... I much prefer DGs singing though
  12. Love the fighters of foo .... I thought the video was pretty dam funny

  15. the astonishing ... a gift from entre perpetuo :)
  16. You are correct. In regards to the vocals, a female singer can bring life back to a lot of old songs. if I went to a rush concert (hopefully I will again in my life) and someone else was singing ... I would feel cheated .. if someone wants to hear an imitator, there are tribute bands for that
  17. I really enjoyed that ... as far as Rush hiring her or the likes ... hummm? ... well ... no
