so I'd been eyeing going to Metallica at Met Life but didn't want to commit to both nights because, I just didn't want to go to both nights, PLUS you have to sell them as both nights, too. But now single nights are going on sale on Monday (for fan club), so I'm going to check that out.

I was at the Bubba Bash with a bunch of other proggy Rush nerds. It was fun.

Got my last booster. No side effects, same as my others. And, to date, no Covid. KNOCK WOOD...

I'm listening to The Nutcracker on one of those REALLY old vinyls, it's 33 1/3 but it's small and it has the crackles and pops, though I did clean it. And it just has that "old" sound, which I love. I'm not sure how old it is, but it's Varsity Records, which apparently was a late 1930's label and then reopened in 1948. I guess the record is probably from the fifties. I have no idea how it came to be in my possession, though I've had it for probably 40 years myself and it's just come along with me from place to place!!

We had a talent show every year in my high school and these three guys played Bastille Day - this was 1980 I think - and I was like "What a cool song, who sings that?" And that's how it all began! I bought ESL - the cassette and drove around with the drummer from the band and that's all we listened to, lol.

Prices aren't too bad. But you can only re-sell both nights, too. So it's a big commitment, but I guess that's not an issue for a lot of fans. I like them but it's a long way off yet, and I just want one show.

It seems a tad risky. Though if it were Styx I wouldn't think twice and given what I saw on their fan club Forum yesterday it seems like a lot of people are all in. But it is a big stadium so I hope in Jan can get something for one of the nights.

I'm torn about this one, you have to get tickets for both shows and if you were to resell, it has to be both also. They say regular single show tickets will go on sale in January IF there are any left, I would think there would be. I saw them at the stadium about 5 years ago and it was great, but not sure I want to go to two shows this time around.

Field trip!

Saw Yes last night in small local PAC theater. I'd never seen them before. They did Close to the Edge and some other stuff. Now, I realize this is the current iteration, so of course it's not the same. But it was fun, and I honestly didn't realize how proggy they are! I'm mostly just familiar with their more well-known hits. Anyway, it was fun to see Geoff Downes and Steve Howe. And I always love being in a crowd that is so appreciative and into it, and this crowd was totally into it. I was saying to my friend "And I thought Rush fans were nerdy, lol" and the guy in front of us came back to his seat at that very moment and said to his friends "it's just like a Rush concert, long line at the men's room and no line at the ladies room!"

Going to Yes tonight at Bergen Pac, last minute decision with a friend who needs cheering up!

I was out with tshirt, no jacket, driving with the windows open. It's been like late Sept, not mid November!
