  1. I have a six pack. Its in there somewhere behind the flab. Nothing like Randy Bo Bandy or Phil Collins. What are you looking at?
  2. I don't think you need to call him names. He can definetly be petulant though ill give u that. Hes a great keyboardist and wrote some pretty incredible stuff with Genesis.
  3. Don't forget Brand X. I get the feeling and always have done that nothing gets thru without Tony Banks' approval. If he doesn't want to play Gabriel era stuff or if he wants to give Hackett short shrift he can get his way. That's fine and good but it doesn't lessen the impact this music and these musicians had. Maybe he doesn't appreciate Hackett going out and doing Genesis shows on his own. Banks still gets paid for not playing that material but maybe it just doesn't sit well with him. Even still I love most of the music Genesis ever put out. I even thought Calling All Stations had some great music on it. Beats most stuff Mike or Tony have done on their own.
  4. Oh maaan. I saw Genesis in Sacramento in 92 and a guy spilled his beer all on this guys back. The guy just did nothing. I was fookin amazed. He knew that it was an accident so he didn't get all pissed, but damn. It was hot that day and he must have smelled funky as hell later on.
  5. burn and stormbringer for sure are better than anything since, imo Bathory! When are we going to meet? Fuckk yes man! I love Steve Morse man. A fuckking Legend but I'm going with the Dixie Dregs and The Dregs! Hey!!!! I thought of you last week! I was in my favorite record store in Berkeley California and I was going through all of the METAL VINYL for some reason. I saw two BATHORY Albums! Never knew it was a fuckking metal band until I saw the records. Bathory seems like heavy BLACK METAL! Is it? That's not my cup of tea man, but I still love you. "I'm Still In Love With You" Oh wait! That's for the Thin Lizzy Thread! I love it when all threads morph into one collective hard rock haven. Amoeba or Rasputins?
  6. Hemis is for me a bit to laboured. It could have been shrunk down to about 14 minutes and been waaay better. Maybe they just didn't have any other material. For me PeW/MP/Signals are all the most consistent. Have been for me since the start (about 1986)
  7. I ask a serious question. Are you guys freaking kidding me??
  8. Arrrgh. Closest they are coming to me is San Jose. A bit of a trek for me. :(
  9. Yes, much nicer. The old site hurt my eyes and was very difficult to navigate.
  10. Check out some of the more recent stuff. Particularly Trisector. I got into Hammill so first so his more recent voice is a bit more mellow. A bit. He has one of he most singular voices of the age. An aquired taste for sure.
  11. Brent Mydland, yeah. He wasn't the original but he was the guy from 79 to 90. Never been a huge head, seen a ton of Phish shows. I didn't jump on the bus until about 97. Saw Oysterhead in LA as well and there was far less hippies at that show. That was a better show by a million miles though, the SF show had no energy. I got to stand about 20 feet away from two of my favorite musicians with another of them about 25 more feet away. It was awesome
  12. Made in Japan baby. and Burn, and Pupendicular. Who Do We Think We Are? Oh yeah and Perfect Strangers
  13. Huge Tull fan here, only been into GG for a few years but I really like them. I would say everything between Acquiring the Taste thru Playing the Fool is worth checking out, especially the live album and Octopus. Just try to get Advent of Panurge out of your head. Haha Tull, wow where to start Thick As a Brick first and foremost. It's a friggin masterpiece!!! Aqualung Stand Up Minstrel in the Gallery Bursting Out Broadsword and the Beast Crest of a Knave Nothing is Easy Live and my own personal favorite and a total dark horse, Under Wraps. Deres Yer Tull kollksun
  14. Ha. It would be way too easy to include some live albums or boxed sets on this list soI'll go with the tried and true formula here... Animals Signals Abbey Road Starless and Bible Black Lola Versus Powerman And The Moneygoround, Pt. 1 The 5th one was tough, Could have probably gone in a few different directions there.
  15. Haha. I most cerrainly won hate u for that. I may have been one of those 'heads but i know how you feel.
  16. Actually it's psoriatic arthritis. Sounds similar but very different. He got arthritis? Ain't nobody got time for dat!!!

  19. Hey, fraroc, I have to put my .02 in here and just tell you that you are absolutely not alone, when I was 20 my life was the absolute pits. I managed to get out of it, through a little therapy and relying on the help of my friends and family I was able to beat depression and the crippling insomnia that went along with it. I'm 41 now, and can't even remember that dude who didn't even leave his room for days on end. If it wasn't for work I would have been a complete Howard Hughes job. It gets better, find a therapist, it really can help you. It's really just important to find a support system (in real time, don't rely on the internet as a crutch). I still to this day deal with anxiety and lack of motivation. I have trouble making friends, and keeping the ones I do have, and creating a decent social netowrk outside of my child and partner. I had a friend who killed himself the day after high school graduation. He probably thought that no one would have given a flying f*ck, probably thought that no one would miss him, but we did. We gathered en masse to mourn him. Later that summer my childhood neighbor passed after a 2 year struggle with cancer. I struggled with my identity for several years after that. It is scary this real world, but there is so much out there to see and do, so much good music to listen to, so much of the outdoors to discover. So many people to love and be loved. Remember what one of our heroes said "turn around and walk the razors edge, don't turn your back and slam the door on me".
  20. Yeah, but have you seen him without it? Yikes. (which is why I wear a beard, folks)
  21. No way man, it's a bleeding deep personal album to me, the Remix is pretty good but I have to be honest I dig the original. Call me crazy.
  22. I only wish they would re-release the long lost Centrifugal album. It set up Vapor Trails so wondeffully yet no one ever talks about it. Maybe they are revisiting some of the songs on he new record. One can only hope.
