  1. I am guessing this is sarcasm. But hey, it is indeed. Not sure they would release a REALLY new album out of the sudden. Guess the title would also be different. Hello there :hi:
  2. How is it so much hate against Rivendell? I love that tune. Not their best, but its nice
  3. Closer To The Heart (Live at Hammersmith Odeon, February 20, 1978) Man i love Google sometimes. Have just been informed of its release
  4. With poison. What do you mean people kiss because of love? Huh?
  5. Hmmmm. I think I´ve seen it way too many times. I love when playing Overture live, people "sing", or however you call it.
  6. My Soliloquy partner. I think it´s the part the whole plot changes. You pass from an image full of hope to an image of despair. I think that´s when the true meaning of the plot, in the end. It twistes perfectly as they portrait their lack of interest in this world.
  7. Because its easier to dislike the few songs you know, and stating you dislike the whole band, rather than look into it and see all the works they´ve done throughout the years. However, I don´t blame them. Truth be told, bands ofently stick to one style, and bands such as Rush where there are many styles which have abysses in between, are extremely rare.
  8. Merry 2112 day all then :rush:  So, uhhh... just to make things clear, is it the whole album memorial or just the song? I´m guessing it´s the whole album but hell if I know.
  9. Good to see you posting again MOAM Hey there! :hi:
  10. The speed of love Why there's nothin' goin' down here
  11. Lately, Ive been listening a lot to Clockwork Angels, their latest album. Personally, I believe that in many ways, there are many things to analyze about it which may be sometimes unseen, Some easter eggs may be lyrically independent with the band, and some are references to the band itself, such as the clock stating its 21:12. But, turns out i made a little experiment that I would like to share. First things first, everything comes from the song Clockwork Angels, which states: "Goddesses of light, of sea, sky and land" What caught my eye is that respecting that order, some of these elements and angels are compatible with the titles. Let me be clear: Caravan - LIGHT BU2B - SEA Clockwork Angels - SKY The Anarchist - LAND Carnies - LIGHT Halo Effect - SEA Seven Cities Of Gold - SKY The Wreckers - LAND Headlong Flight - LIGHT BU2B2 - SEA Wish Them Well - SKY The Garden - LAND For instance, some of the points I could make are: The first lines on Caravan talk about the world and its light (in a world lit only by fire) Clockwork Angels, their lyrics make references non stop towards the sky. The first lines (High above the city square, globes of light float in mid air) as well as the end of the chorus (as if to fly, as if to fly) In Carnies, beside the clear use of the word "light" at the beginning of the song, it seems to constantly talk about all the images about them, full of lights and people. The only coherence I found for instance in SCOG are the last lines, which call for constellations and comets And of course, the obvious found in The Garden with the land, because, where else would it be? Have you ever found any of these points? Which others have you seen?
  12. Maybe not a concrete meaning, but it can be interpreted as one wants. The fact that a song has or not a meaning according to the composer shouldnt affect the way you see it
  13. We all know Rush songs are full of meanings and ideas. What i want to do is for you to pick any random part of any random Rush song and explain what do you believe it means. (I don't put this is in Roll the bones as i believe this is more a debate than a game) For example, "We need someone to talk to, And someone to sweep the floors" I think this talks about the fact some people really believe the people who clean houses are not "people" but just someone who works for them, not someone you can "talk to" Maybe some of you believe this means nothing, or something completely different. I would love to see more points of views in different songs. Post your ideas!
  14. And, i really think he sang extremely well the lyrics on YYZ. Just incredible.
  15. My profile picture moved me a lot. Also, "This is not a love song, this isn't fantasy land" Some days ago I was watching a movie called Wild Tales where you re-consider Lock and key. Lyrics moved me since. "Life is just a candle, and a dream must give its flame" "We're both too busy to be taking the blame" "The future dissapears into memory, with only a moment between"
  16. I thought that if you wanted to enter into the forum u had to pass some test to prove you listened all their songs?
  17. The spirit of radio Power windows Can't remember (80% of the albums) Exit... Stage left Presto Caress of steel
  18. Leaving it its what the journalist should have done when he was told to write the article.
  19. "I think in the Rush world it makes sense" Hm..... Is he talking about here? I mean, mostly everything related to Rush makes sense here.
  20. 111, hoping medicine will progress enough as to live, at least, one second. First thought in the morning. When you make your father almost crash the car because u saw a 2112 and yelled. 114! We can do this. :D We can transform into turtles and reach even 150!
