Neil's Latest News Weather and Sports: February
antiquark replied to Tombstone Mountain's topic in Rush
I totally know what he's saying here, I sucked at sports too when I was a kid: When your boyhood fate was to be pathetic at sports, you had no hope of being the one to catch the winning pass, hit the grand slam, or (best of all for a Canadian boy) score the overtime goal. -
He's looking respectable these days! http://www.thecanadianmusicscene.com/junoawards2015/saturday/juno2015_sat_011.jpg

Neil's a great admirer of Herzog. Rumor has it that the next album will be called "Cygnus X-1 Book III - Cobra Verde." http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2007/03/22/movies/23cobr600.jpg -
ACK... THBBFT... Since we're destroying Tom Sawyer, here's one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUqaVK69qPU

Don't worry about it... Alex just needed to go for a pee break, that's all! -

Rush Toilet Paper: Playing the "Inspirational Message on a Roll" Game
antiquark replied to Tombstone Mountain's topic in Rush
Face Up: You get all squeezed up inside Like the days were carved in stone You get all wired up inside And it's bad to be alone You can go out, you can take a ride And when you get out on your own You get all smoothed out inside And it's good to be alone -

All that being said... concerts do bring in wheelbarrows full of cash... so for that reason I think that a second leg is a true possibility, plus more concerts in the future. -

See link: http://www.ctvnews.c...junos-1.2274006 "Among their charitable contributions, Rush has donated significantly to Toronto Food Bank, United Way, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the New Orleans-assisting Make it Right Foundation, Doctors Without Borders, Alberta Flood Relief and Casey House."

More songs == better.

I for one am glad they continued evolving after 1981. Even if poor Terry was booted out on his ass!

"Cut to the Chase" Because, spooning is just the beginning!

This guy could hit those high screeches from Cygnus...
-
Oh yeah I forgot... "Panacea... soft and warm..." BLEARGH!
-
Justin Bieber can hit those high notes.

The only way for Rush to redeem itself is to fire that nitwit Peart, re-hire Rutsey, and return to playing in Toronto bars on Friday nights. Of course that would involve the invention of a time machine... Maybe we should all whine about the lack of time machines?

Have you seen the video? There's a skeleton with a mohawk. How can someone not like that?

Actually, Geddy said it on the outtakes for That Metal Show. That's it... I am no longer a Rush fan! Actually, upon further reflection, Ged is known to use the F-word on occasion... http://www.musicintheabstract.org/rush-oddities/audio/straining-the-limit-of-machine-and-man.mp3 So yeah, I will forgive them if they make a song based on the F-word!

I never "disliked" it, but it's basically a novelty song, so it grew old fast. So I always skip it whenever it plays.
