The thing is with Forums that some people are very passionate about the band or what ever the topic is . Zumbi is very passionate about Rush . When I was a kid I was the same with The Beatles , but as get older you realize that we all have different opinions and tastes . If Zumbi has a thread about whatever and you don`t agree then just give an opinion without sarcasm or just not post . Simple . We all Love Rush and he has as much right to post as anyone else , people who post just to slag off someone or something should look at themselves . Let`s all get on . :)

The first album I heard that kinda got me interested in albums was Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel . Just coming towards of the end of Tune In , The Beatles by Mark Lewishon and it`s the finest book ever written about the Beatles and it`s only Vol 1. Gives you the real story of John , Paul , George and Ringo in those Early days . :)

Love that film . As much as Sellers was great in the Panthers this film was his finest for me . I Give It A Year .

Never been a huge fan as I was an out and out Classic Rock fan . But I got to see them supporting U2 at Milton Keynes in 85 . I had respect for them after that day . R.I.P.

I`ve always had a hatred for the 80`s The Music was bobbins , the clothes were crap and the Films were just a bit better than the Wine Bars . Rush pushed me to the limits with some of the songs (Roll The Bones was one ) Led Zeppelin was no more Lennon was murdered , Phil Lynott died Yes went down hill , The Who made poor albums , Floyd split , Macca sang about Frogs , It was more about the Video than the music , Classic Rock was snubbed by Radios . Rock bands wore make up and silk scarfes and played shite no feeling muzak ( I hated the Bon Jokie brigade ) The Working class was looked down on , put out of work and treated like dirt by the goverment ( Thatcher ) No , not a 80`s fan .

I love this band . Best "New" Prog band I`ve heard for years ! If you like Yes , this band are for you .

Rush was on Old Grey Whistle test? Is this clip available somewhere?? You thought he was looking for his sister? Ha that's awesome! It was the stars' sister .. I was 16 . I guess if it was`nt for The Whistle Test I would`nt have become a Rush fan . God bless The Test .

It was my first Rush album and still is my Favourite A music program called The Old Grey Whistle Test showed a clip of Rush and annouced they were touring the U.K. I went and bought the new 12 inch single Closer To The Heart and a ticket and after my first ever gig I went and bought A Farewell To Kings . It blew me away and opened me up to Prog Rock and it was though Rush had wrote these songs just for me Men who lived forever , Sci Fi story of a man looking for his sister and ending up going in a black hole ! The lyrics, the musicianship and everything about this album set me off on an neverending trip on the Rush light fantastic. I had to buy their next album , I had to find out what happened to the fella who had ending up in a black hole of Cygnus XI. :o

Only the god damn best genre in music . I love Prog . Woody Allen once described his Comedy films . "When you do comedy your not sat at the grown up`s table ." Prog is the grown up`s table .
