  1. This Sunday, will be seeing Crush (Rush tribute band). Part of it will be MP played in its entirety.
  2. Your runner up is correct. and dodo/lurker from abacab is heavier than both Dodo/Lurker takes it, imho.
  3. I would looooove to go there. I visited Duane and Berry’s graves about 25 years ago, which was before they had any fencing around them or anything like that. And the limestone was completely I stained, ungraffiti’d; it was pristine. But I haven’t been back to Macon since then. A must see , crammed with nostalgia. The ticket office room has videos playing and one of Greg's old Hammond B3's, all scarred with drink rings and cigarette burns. The rest of the rooms have pictures, posters, instruments etc. Duane's bedroom is sealed off by a sheet of Plexiglas, but the rest of the rooms are pretty much open. There's a room in back where they used to go " to relax" with a big multi-headed shower and a coffee table with a big hookah on it. Another room has a glass case holding Allen Woody's Modulus Graphite 18 string bass guitar. Nice gift shop with posters T-shirts, albums, DVD ' s books, etc. Definitely worth it, but plan on spending 2 hours minimum, you'll need that long.
  4. Resting after opening a mass of mail, mostly junk, and separating out the sensitive stuff. Will shred all this chit tonight.
  5. The fact that with this post I've "taken care of everything." :dweez: :7up: :geddy: :guitar:
  6. Ranting excessively at a function of The Whores of Rolling Stone Magazine Unrelated Music Museum? Negro, please!
  7. When I visited the Allman Bothers Museum at The Big House in Macon, GA a few years ago they had a number of AB albums on vinyl. Mostly early stuff.
  8. Getting into a conversation with the locals at Rickey's while getting seriously into a plate of wings and a couple of pints, and getting a couple of free pints out of it. I'll definitely need to pay that forward.
  9. Yes, both sides. How can you sheeple DENY the magnificence that is A Passage to Bangkok, Tears, and Something for Nothing? Woe to you, doubting infidels!
  10. Red Barchetta Limelight Tom Sawyer Vital Signs YYZ Witch Hunt Camera Eye 9/10, and my favorite Rush album.
  11. OMG, Wayne Kramer's Kick Out The Jams 50th Anniversary tour first week of September. KOTJ was one of the first LP albums I ever bought, what with the MC 5 being so tied to the Detroit/Ann Arbor area. I HAVE to see Brother Wayne. I couldn't live with myself if I didnt.
  12. "rock and roll is a commanist conspiracy to bring the white man down to the level of the nigra." Rev. Billy Joe Hargis His pronunciation, not mine.
  13. And no less an authority than Eddie Kramer telling everybody backward masking was bs (from Steve Davis' Hammer of the Gods).
  14. ^^^This. I have the CD, but it gets very little play. With idiot bombs like Dog Years and Virtuality, what do you expect?
  15. First, a shout out to @Principled Man and his thread on the 20th anniversary of the release of Saving Private Ryan as an incentive for this thread. Now, let's have at it. Your 5 favorite WW 2 movies: Patton The Great Escape Battle of the Bulge Midway Saving Private Ryan That's just a start, I could put in another five easily. What say you?
  16. Patriot's Day (re Boston Marathon bombing).
  17. And one of films best car chases!
  18. Unstoppable. Denzel Washington & Chris Pine try to stop a runaway train loaded with toxic chemicals from poisoning a town.
  19. 7:45 am, before taking Rocky out for his weekly romp at the dog park, and already 85°. Another scorcher today.
  20. Interesting broadcast on TCM late last night; some of the "young peoples concerts", done by Leonard Bernstein and the New York Philharmonic, originally shown on CBS the 60's.
  21. Hot, 98°, dry, no rain in sight. Finished grocery shopping and chores early, hit the bar for a burger, downed 2 pints of Yeungling and 4 pints of water. Couldnt get hydrated fast enough! Now collapsed in my air conditioned bedroom, zzzzz.
  22. Moving Pictures, surely. Snakes and Arrows, likely. But if there's anything definite, it's what got my RushTrain a rollin' - ESL.
  23. Fantomworks on the Velocity Channel. You want to see a PoS dying beater of an automobile turned into better than new? Just watch the magic Dan Short's crew does. Same with Speed is the New Black.
