  1. QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ Dec 23 2010, 03:17 PM) Olive Garden...the ones where people laugh uproariously over nothing. yes, those commercials are total vomit.
  2. QUOTE (BeOhBe Bob @ Dec 23 2010, 02:49 PM) QUOTE (PhilCastro @ Dec 23 2010, 05:12 AM) I love Pomplamoose! They actually do a spaced out version of Deck The Halls, its really cool. And Nataly Dawn is super cute too yes to Jill and yes! to Phil I saw their website, each download of their christmas album? you give a book you get their album free? totalled over $60k for charity I think their videos are just a lil different so it's not your usual boring it's ne done way too many times already ho hum stare at the lens shite. She's cute, so what the heck, soft voice and reminds me of this other band of guys that play multiple instruments overly well, and when brought together are kinda sounding good? Only 3 guys and what's been said about THEM is they make music sounds like there oughta be a dozen guys onstage? These kids remind me of them, just in a scaled back way and they're havin a good time too They're totally styled by Urban Outfitters too (just guessing) haha
  3. QUOTE (BeOhBe Bob @ Dec 12 2010, 11:14 PM) One series I enjoy though are the Christmas ads for hyundai with that soft voiced youngish girl and her two goofy sidekicks. She sings, they all play something and it makes up for all the other shit You're talking about the one where they are kinda inside and playing drums and stuff, right? Like in a studio-slash-living room? Yeah I don't know why but I love these commercials! They're so cute.
  4. Cold Mountain, probably because it was hyped up to be this great film and had many Oscar nominations tagged to it. The movies was downright awful and the ending was the worst ending I've ever seen in a film.
  5. QUOTE (micgtr71 @ Dec 18 2010, 04:54 PM) QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Dec 17 2010, 09:32 AM) I hope we get a show here in Buffalo but our local promoters have been screwing up a lot over the last few years when it comes to not getting some major tours to come here, so who knows Buffalo would be great, but Rochester would work more for me. I doubt they are going to play close to me (SYR). They did two shows in my back yard last leg. I can hope. I'll take either of these three -- or a combo of them
  6. When you're there, ticket prices will be the last thing on your mind. Oh and save the $30+ on food/beer and eat/drink beforehand at home or a cheaper outside place. That's a "duh" for me at least..
  7. QUOTE (tick @ Dec 1 2010, 08:40 AM) I'll put this post here, but in truth I don't have mixed feelings, I wish no North American leg was part of 2011. I must be at the point where I have been over spoiled with how many times I have seen Rush, because as I read the board I realize that a second leg of the same tour means absolutely nothing to me. I don't mean this in an offensive way. I just could care less. I do feel happy that our European fans will get the chance to see what was an awesome show. I guess I'm selfish but I wish they were just going to Europe then going to work on the new album. That is the only thing Rush could do to get me pumped up for the future. Oh well, time goes by so fast the album will be here before I know it. I'm in the same boat.

  9. I've done all the work today and boss tells me to do other rushed jobs despite no one else chipping in. Fed up.
  10. I'm not going out of my way to see them this time. If they come to SPAC, Syracuse, Rochester or Buffalo, yes, since all are within a close drive to me or close to my parents house. The other *maybe* possibility would be Boston since that is somewhat close to my sister but that would even be a stretch. I'm itching for new music like no one's business still.
  11. QUOTE (tangy @ Nov 29 2010, 11:20 AM) QUOTE (snowdog212 @ Nov 29 2010, 10:22 AM) Once again Rush f*cks Buffalo my guess is a darien date later in the summer. That's what I was thinking. Ugh I dislike the venue tho..
  12. QUOTE (LakesideMaiden @ Nov 29 2010, 02:29 AM) QUOTE (kbomb106 @ Nov 29 2010, 01:36 AM) Uh....Hershey, NJ? I think their webmaster needs to check a map. I'm bummed they're not doing anything northeast of NYC. To be completely honest, I was a little bummed when they announced the possibility of North American dates to be added on to the second leg. We can't afford to go, and if they announced something close to home, it would literally kill us to not be able to go...So knowing that the closest they will be is NYC or Maryland, and while I am very sorry for all of you who want to see them again and wanted them to come around to New England...for my own selfish reasons, I'm actually a little relieved. I saw them on the first leg twice, and I know that they will be on tour again for Clockwork Angels, so I can wait for that tour. I'd rather save up my money for that tour, and try and get better seats. Just my opinion. I *kinda* feel the same. I literally have no dinero for this leg; but if they did end up coming to upstate NY or somewhere near family in New England; I'd scrounge it up somehow..
  13. That sucks that all the European fans feel they are being ripped off. I understand money is short nowdays and even making one show is a challenge but seeing that Rush does not tour Europe often -- and only seems to hit big cities when they do, choices must be made... I'm just thinking if I were in their shoes, I would forgo a few other luxeries for a while (lunch out, a new pair of shoes, etc.) to see them
  14. QUOTE (johndyar @ Oct 6 2010, 08:56 AM) QUOTE (friendlyfloridian @ Oct 6 2010, 08:19 AM) QUOTE (johndyar @ Oct 5 2010, 10:14 AM) I had this signed at the Atlanta show for my Daughter. http://www.jd-photography.net/sam_rush_web.jpg I took a look at all her other photos. It was nice for the band to do that for her. May I ask what her condition is? She is doing good. She has been off treatment and cancer free for 2 years and 9 months. Thanks for asking! Rush cures all! But no, seriously, that's awesome
  15. Sorry about the strange theater geek stereotype ... but you know what they say: Stereotypes are such because there is always an ounce of truth to them
  16. Never seen this movie and I have never had the urge to. Most of the people I know who love it are strange theater geeks anyhow (no offense if you love it but... you know what I mean).
  17. Wedding and house-building stress has left me too emotionally drained to even think of having a good time. Tomorrow night should be date night for Fi and I though so that's better.
  18. QUOTE (PhilCastro @ Oct 27 2010, 01:34 AM) I have two papers due tomorrow... well i guess its today now... I've been working on them since 10am... Looks like I might as well just not go to sleep tonight I remember those days.. After you graduate and get "a real job", you will look back at those nights and think "how the hell did I do that!"
  19. QUOTE (Rushchick10 @ Oct 27 2010, 12:48 PM) So, just in TICKETS, I spent well over $1000 this tour, not to mention travel, merchandise, etc. I don't wanna talk about it... Yes, but meeting Geddy and Alex? Priceless.
  20. I don't remember specifics? Saratoga: $125 presale. 17th row back, Alex's side. NYS Fair (Syracuse): $65 presale, 11th row, center/Geddy side (great view!)
  21. The tour is over. You still haven't gotten your stuff? So unacceptable!
  22. Doubt Betty is going anywhere (from the show). If so, many story lines would be dropped, namely with the kids. Don is def. using Megan to gain some stability and Faye, lets face it, was too strong willed for Don.
  23. Oh and Faye's GOTTA feel like the biggest fool now.
