I actually have a "Masters of Metal" LP that has Tom Sawyer on it. Thanks to Google, here's the lineup... Masters of Metal - Volume One: Trashed - Black Sabbath Mean Streak - Y&T Breakin' the Chains - Dokken Who's Behind the Door - Zebra Rainbow in the Dark - Dio Screaming in the Night - Krokus Lick it Up - Kiss Street of Dreams - Rainbow Run to the Hills - Iron Maiden Tom Sawyer - Rush A World of Fantasy - Triumph You Can't Stop Rock and Roll - Twisted Sister Dancing in the Street - Van Halen How some of these were selected as "metal" is beyond my understanding.

Soooo many to choose from. Rivendell is in the top 20, for sure.

It took a few listens for me. Then once I sat down with the lyrics it was much better. I'm all about the lyrics.

Holy crap, yes, TGIF! It's been one of those weeks.

A remix would have been nice, but it adds to the whole time frame of the album. It's a part of their legacy. It's already a great album. To get their hands on it again there is temptation to put today's ear onto the past. That never ends well. Remember Jar-Jar Binx?? *shudder*

I like the fact that they aren't ever considered. Everyone knows they SHOULD be there which puts them above the RRHOF, IMO. The day that they actually ARE will almost come off as the RRHOF giving in to pressure...because it's obvious they don't think they belong there, and what a slap in the face that will be. I think it'll happen in a posthumous way, which will be an even bigger slap in the face. If you're going to honor a person or a group...do it when they can enjoy it. A part of humanity that has never made sense to me.
