  1. The reason I think this is a beaten horse thread is because there have already been tons of"what if" and "what's next" and "R40" theoretical threads here lately. The second leg of the CA tour hasn't even started yet and still people are sitting around theorizing about what's next. The future is uncertain for us all and I'm happy whatever the boys decided to do or not do because it will be killer as always.
  2. I bet the guy who didn't get his meet and greet pass he won for Houston is gonna be butt hurt when he reads this lol.
  3. You're gonna be waiting that long either way. They have already stated that it won't be coming out ill fall 2013.
  4. I don't know this for a fact but i wouldn't expect too many changes to the setlist, now that they have an A and B setlist rotation, the most logical thing seems to be for them to play the opposite setlist they played last time in whatever particular town they are. I'm not saying they won't add drop a few here or there, but i wouldn't expect a complete overhaul of the setlist considering the amount of time they took to rehearse before the first leg. It doesn't seem that they are scheduled to rehearse as much for the second leg.
  5. I get the impression from interviews that Geddy doesn't get along with Terry Brown as I believe I remember hearing somewhere that Terry and Geddy had disagreements after Signals because Ged wanted to do more electronic sounding music and Terry did not. I don't suspect anyone but Nick will produce the rest of Rush's records from here on out. P.s to the guy that said Brian Eno should produce Rush. I actually vomited a little upon the thought of that. Yeah let's get Brian Eno to make Rush sound like every other band he produces. Can you imagine rush sounding like a U2 or Coldplay record? BARF!!
  6. That they still didn't play "Jacob's Ladder" on the 2013 leg.
  7. I think they don't like signing multiple items from one person. I don't think they would get mad if you sent one of the items next tour with a polite note asking for the 3rd.
  8. That's great news man. You can tell Ged addressed yours and Neil mine. Sawwwwwwwwwwwwweeet!!
  9. Yes my rule of life is only ask for Alice's autograph if he's behind YOU. I also make it a rule to ask Alice for a towel too. To wipe off the head...... of my driver you pervs! And by driver I mean golf club not penis!!!
  10. I think Rush needs to fire their sound guy honestly. I have seen every tour since roll the bones in Dallas and there have never been any sound issues until the time machine and clockwork tours, and they were in 2 separate venues. The boys were on fire but they were reduced in their impact by the crappy sound.
  11. Mailed this to American Airlines center in Dallas and got it back yesterday. WOOOOOOT!! This just topped my already awesome show experience Wednesday night. Anybody else have any luck?
  12. Yeah the first set was pretty off and Ged's vocals were off,to me it sounded like he was having issues with his in ear monitor. Alex's guitar cut out during subdivisions. By the time they got to Territories though it seemed to be fixed. Also middletown was played in Phoenix not Dallas. We also got Dreamline instead of Manhattan.
  13. Mailed this Monday, got it to the venue Wednesday for the show got it back today!! EEEEEE!!! Best band ever thank you guys so much!!!
  14. P.s. The Geddycorns were out in force. That had to be some kind of record for most women at a Rush show ever.
  15. Hey guys, just got back from the Dallas show and wanted to give my review after months of reading about the show. Sound was shaky out of the gates but seemed to be corrected about half way through the first set. I was a little disappointed in the quality of Ged's vocals after hearing about how great it has been the rest of the tour, but this was one of the last 3 shows of the tour and I'm sure he is worn by now. It did not take away from the show and was much stronger in the second set which was the highlight. As far as setlist variations, they played setlist A but instead of Manhattan Project, they played Dreamline and was by far the best version of it I have heard going back to the roll the bones tour. They also played seven cities of gold AND wish them well which by my count is every song on the record except the bu2b songs. I wore my sith robe and a large "flava flav" clock around my neck and had alot of people pose for pictures with me so if anyone on this board was one of those people please let me know because I'd like to see the pics. The camera guy shot me rocking out with the hood on and everything so I'm pretty sure you will see me in the DVD. Anyway, all in all great show,i do have to say that it seems the boys are finally starting to show their age,yet they still rock harder and did things guys in their 20's can't do. The crowd was on it's feet for the majority of the set with very little sitting on ass. The lack of first set staples seems to have affected every show on the tour but the crowd still gave it their all. I think the dvd will be great edited from both shows. I am saddened to see the boys growing old though. I know it's a part of it and everything, and I am grateful for everyday they are still playing. But it became very clear to me tonight for the first time, that no matter what songs they play or how the mix at the show sounds,we all should be thankful we were born at the right time to see this band in the flesh. They are truly the last of a dying breed and we will never again see a band do what they did,the way they did it.
  16. Indoor all the way. Outside cheapens the impact for me.
  17. Your argument is no longer valid...................... http://sports.yahoo.com/news/no-show--yank...oving-fans.html For the second consecutive playoff game, swaths of empty seats filled Yankee Stadium, entire rows without a single fan. And on Saturday night, instead of letting them sit embarrassingly open for Game 1 of the ALCS, ushers were told to fill them with fans from other sections. "We were up there," said Bill Brady, 46, of Roxbury, N.J., pointing from his new seat in Section 334 to the top of 434b. "Way up there." Entire rows of Yankee stadium were empty for the opening game of the ALCS. (Yahoo! Sports) Brady was one of dozens of fans ferried by ushers in the bottom of the fourth inning to Section 334 down the left-field line, which just an inning earlier had nine people sitting among more than 100 unfilled seats. One usher, who asked not to be identified, said he was told by a superior to start sending fans to the higher-priced seats. "I don't know what it's about," the usher said.
  18. I say do what you want. It's your life the worst that can happen is it's a learning experience. Most people here will discourage you as not to make this a regular thing at all shows, but I say you should do it if you really want to,if all you want to do is say a quick hello or cheer for them, obviously getting them to sign about a bunch of stuff wouldn't be a smart move but i don't see why greeting them as they show up is so bad when they have canned "cheer" for the boys at meet and greets. Doesn't mean I personally would do this but again live your life don't not try just because some message board peeps said not to,you never know what life might bring.
  19. QUOTE (WavesandWindows @ Oct 5 2012, 10:25 PM) It's a Ghost of a chance for me... I don't think it's going to happen.... Too boring... They just did it on the snakes and arrows tour and it was great. Don't think we will see it ever again though.
  20. Neil stated recently that they have booked themselves for the next 3 years 2012,2013 and 2014 and that past that it's unknown. So if they aren't doing an r40 tour they are defintley doing something in 2014.
