  1. Really? I thought every person who's ever heard it hates it.
  2. That is one of the best things he has done. I hate to be a bummer but Didacts and Narpets sounds cool but there's nothing really crazy about it. I'd like it twice as much if it was half as long. Right. Like I said, it sounds cool but nothing a lot of drummers can't do.

  4. Not necessarily a break but the beginning to The Anarchist. Dat hi-hat.
  5. No, but we can all agree that your dumbass ramblings are SHIT!!!!! Dummy up. http://25.media.tumblr.com/d1fbddf198fd49c70cf256c4547b0e9d/tumblr_moobkcTwCn1rc5vyzo1_250.gif This just made me so happy.
  6. It has to be a joke. It's not a big deal. Be happy Rush is on a commercial.
  7. I am so excited! First DVD I'll be picking up from my first tour I went to!
  8. A Farewell to this Thread
  9. :eyeroll: Life would be pretty sad and boring without sarcasm, but to each their own I guess. The lyrics to Virtuality are deeply, deeply cringeworthy. The only song lyrics I've heard from them arguably more ridiculous are Dog Years. Both are wretched. I agree with the whole "life would be boring without sarcasm" thing. My favorite form of humor, including many other's. But yeah, I don't know how anyone could really defend the lyrics to Dog Years and, to some aspect, Virtuality. If you like the instruments, that's fine, but my goodness. The lyrics. Just.....no.
  10. Counterparts is fantastic. There are a couple songs you can feel a lack of inspiration but it happens to the best of bands. Now, Test For Echo, I feel more than half the albums lack creativity all together. I don't know why people love Driven so much, honestly. It has to be one of their most repetitive, boring, and snoozeville songs. The bass is cool but does the same thing throughout the whole damn song. Lyrics and drumming don't catch my attention. Same goes for guitar, it's just boring. I hate to be the first to say this, but I've never understood the praise for Driven on this forum. It's not that great, guys. But I've never understood the hate to Everyday Glory. It has guitar, ripping bass, awesome vocals/lyrics, and kickass drumming. All-in-all, my point is: Counterparts kicks Test For Echo's ass.
  11. And there's always someone else who eats them afterwards and just thinks the vinegar was already on... Seriously, take a chill pill. Why? I'm already at my optimum temperature? I'm not referring to you, Sir Tree.

  13. So glad I'm not the only one who thinks this. This song would be PAIN IN THE A*** to sing and play at the same time!
  14. I just discovered this song a few months ago, never really listened to their first album much. And a very good one!
  15. Permanent Waves. Natural Science would blow our minds in 5.1.
  16. I'm still waiting for the "Should RUSH play every song in their catalogue for the next tour?" thread Other than that, I think the threads that are popping up now are hilarious.
  17. Exactly! Again, I'd love to see them do Stairway to Heaven, IMO they'd do it better than Zep. Maybe. Stairway has always been a Zep (now a Heart) thing. People associate the song with Robert Plant and it'd be bizarre to hear Geddy sing it. Now, a song I'd love Rush to try out would have to be either When the Levee Breaks or Achilles Last Stand. I feel they'd tear those songs up while keeping it known its still a Zep song.
  18. Clockwork Angels is basically an instrumental album but with Geddy's voice in it. Imagine if a majority of the songs in the album didn't have his voice? They would still kickass. And I would be alright with a true instrumental album. Perhaps do something, kind of like Feedback, but an extra 20 minutes longer and with a couple new songs. Even though, honestly, if Rush were to end on a high note, Clockwork Angels would be it. The Garden being their "last new song" we ever hear from them is amazing.
  19. He rips the bass up on every album they release. But the Rick tone on Hemispheres is one of my favorite sounds of his.
  20. Well, I mean, to be fair..Genesis, Yes, Rush, Jethro Tull, and Pink Floyd are probably the main progressive rock bands that have shaped it into what it's become. When you think of prog rock, you think those bands. There isn't a lack of imagination, it's more of logic. It's not saying "What are prog rock albums you should listen to." It seems to be what prog rock albums are the most significant to the genre.
