  2. Tomorrow - 9am. I mean, come on guys, we have to plan our summers.
  3. I remember Xanadu and of course The Weapon with The Count from SCTV doing the intro on the Signals tour.
  4. If this is going to be a Spring tour -- shouldn't they be announcing dates and selling seats? Just blew a substantial concert fund on U2. They better play Gloria and I will follow.
  5. Signals was my first tour. The Count from SCTV introduced the Weapon. Xanadu —I think they played the whole song. XXY was last with drum solo. Power Windows was first tour for multiple shows.
  6. It's probably their last tour so the contrarians need to chill the frag out. We want to here ALL THE CLASSICS!!
  7. CoS doesn't have but one good song...
  8. Here's a clue. Colbert loves LOTR and gushes over J.J. Abrams asking about the next Star Wars…. And the way he rattled off the By-Tor lyrics like second nature….
  9. Just do epics and classics. There's a reason a song is considered "rare"….
  10. "I like that song…. Why, why, Zee…" Y Y Zed!!!!
  11. Dude! I can't tell if you are being sarcastic! Check out this video of Simon shredding on a tune called "Protocol." You can click on other Simon videos on the right that will also blow your mind. After watching "Protocol" just now there is now doubt that Simon blows Neil away. Like I said before however Neil will always be my number one. Phillips number 2. Weckl number 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3H0tm-Hs9qo Great song, the keyboards are great, specially without a keyboardist! :laughing guy: I just watched Protocol with Simon and I really didn't see anything that Neil couldn't do. Why would he want to? Neil has his style which has undeniably influenced more drummers than any other drummer ever.
  12. Always liked the cowbell & low-toms part -- we called it the Benihana, but his solos today are 10 times better overall. It's a lifetime of great drumming we get today.
  13. NO -- just finish up with a greatest hits and EPICS Reimagined! tour and go out on top. Don't do another album. I want to remember them as having many peaks-- 2112 MP CA
  14. Magazine editors and owners love the power of "My mouth to god's ears." Meh.
  15. Awww don't be so harsh. Sam Walton was THE workin' man His kids on the other hand...
  16. Musicians hours. Ged and Al were creative artists, still working men.
  17. Brilliantly said!!! I think you just articulated what a lot of people are feeling. They're still my favorite band, I would have preferred Working Man on a beer commercial. As to the workers of Walmart -- the Maples formed a Union.
  18. #2 great semi-inovative drumming on 9 studio albums and dies choking on his own vomit. #3 great incredibly innovative drumming on 20 studio albums and author of 4 books, husband and father. Still alive and touring, influencing generations. Who the hell runs this rag? Moby Dick vs. Piece of Eight ??? Nuff said. List is a joke. Some egotistical publisher thinking he gets to decide these things that have already been decided. 1. Rich 2. Peart 3. Moon 4. Bonham 5. Copeland
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swOxKu80JpUDecent movie. That movie didn't really do the book justice. It was a good attempt for what it was.
  20. Correction - Windows 8 can't play a perfectly good DVD. Get a Mac, mack.
  21. When the strings came in on Caravan, the crowd went nuts. The crowd raised their hands to the sky during Clockwork Angels. The crowd got into the Anarchist. The crowd went wild for Headlong Flight -- old school banging their heads wild. I saw both Chicago shows. Nothing compared to the moment the Stanley Cup came on stage before yyz at the summer show -- that was nuts.
  22. Except for Rutsy were any of them ever in a band that performed professionally (got paid) as RUSH? Then none of them except Rutsy were in RUSH.
  23. Sorry, the GeoCities web site you were trying to reach is no longer available.
  24. I never was left with a sense of wonder. It was always pretty clear to me that the good guys win. Many years later, Neil finally confirmed that this was his intention. I'm talking about "we have assumed control" -- the priests have been replaced by another controlling force -- maybe it's W. bringing the shock and awe to liberate the peoples and put leaders friendly to U.S. guitar interests in place.
