Tried to watch CA live DVD. Geddy's voice starts giving up after 3 songs :( He really needs to relax his vocal delivery. Geddy with voice/vocal training when younger would have been phenomenal.

I have heard about bands entering the recording studio and asking for the Back in Black (AC/DC) sound. Well I'd ask for the "Permanent Waves" sound.

At my first guitar lesson I gave my guitar teacher the Guitar World Tab for Free Will and said " I want to learn this". Guitar teacher's response...."not quite just yet".

Worth it for the improvement in sound quality. Too bad it ruined Ceiling Unlimited though. But Vapor Trails (the song) is absolutely brilliant.

Soul - Sold his to the devil. Phrasing - California Jam "Mistreated" Live guitar intro. Balls out guitar - He was quite the ladies man according to the biography "Black Night" lol. (Just my opinion by the way).

IMO the production is audio perfection, and dear god the drums sound sweet. I wish recent Rush albums sounded this good...

The first thing I noticed in Rush was the drumming. Then the bass. Then the vocals. Then I 'woke up' the Alex's god damn amazing guitar playing and thought 'how the hell did I miss this".

I was surprised Keith Urban had even heard of Rush...he is Australian after all. IMO I thought he nailed it. Anyone else ever wonder how Rush would have fared with a singer more along the lines of Coverdale, Gillan, Dio etc? (Don't flame, I absolutely LOVE Geddy)
