  1. And E...SL Jacobs Ladder. And E...SL The Trees. And E...SL Passage To Bangkok. And E...SL La Villa And E...SL Red Barchetta. See where I'm going here?
  2. Why replace the best song they ever wrote? Well, I don't know if you are being sarcastic. There once was a time when I adored Red Sector A—around the Show of Hands period. I like the song, and appreciate the lyrical subject matter and how it must hit close to home for Geddy. But it's a classic example of a song that the band thinks is more important and popular than it really is—every band has one or two of those, no? Just my two cents. Red Sector is simply the first song that, when I looked at the CA tour setlist, I thought, "That one again? Why?" I agree with the "That one again"...But it is such a great guitar song.
  3. I think you might've missed an interview or two. I clearly remember reading AND listening to interviews in the early 90s in which Geddy stated that anything recorded is with the thought that it CAN be duplicated onstage (if they so desire). He went on to say that they are built around their performances I'm sorry mate but you are wrong. Back in the day they had what they referred to as "studio production numbers" that were never designed or destined to be played live. Some they have resurrected as technology has permitted but it doesn't alter the fact they they did write and record "studio only" tracks. This is true. As much as I or anyone else would love to have heard or would want to hear Losing It live...It ain't gonna happen.
  4. I agree. It's kind of a shame for all of us mega-fans that they have to play "the hits" all the time but there are just too few of us to fill every arena in a tour. It's more than likely that a good chunk of the audience at a show has seen Rush at least once, but the majority have not and that's why you get "lame crowds who just stand around while we go crazy for every song". They gotta play the hits for the unfamiliar who shelled out their hard earned cash for the show just like us...who don't want to ALWAYS hear the hits. I've never seen The Rolling Stones live but if I did, I wanna hear the hits. I wouldn't care how much Mick and Keith wanted to puke 'cuz they've played Satisfaction, Brown Sugar, and Sympathy For The Devil a million times. That's what I'm paying to see...so play it. The same goes for a Rush show. I guess it's just the curse of being long time fans. We got to see Cut To The Chase, Driven, Jacobs Ladder and the dozens of other deep cuts we'd like to see now on past tours. Oh... for all you young whipper snappers out there who didn't get to see them on previous tours...HAHA...Being old does have at least one advantage.
  5. It would have been one of the greatest moments in RUSH concert history. Definitely a blown opportunity.
  6. Hmmm...no new comments...Nobody is watching this show anymore.
  7. The truth is Geddy really doesn't know the lyrics to any songs. He is merely on stage lip syncing to the real vocalists, Milli Vanilli, who are hiding back stage.
  8. You asked what it was about. If you are afraid of the answers you're going to get, don't ask the question. And seriously....our opinions ruined this song for you?! Grow a set dude.
  9. Why fart and waste it, when you can burp and taste it.
  10. That must have been a great night....I saw 'em 3 weeks later in New Haven...my first time seeing them....It was a great night.
  11. http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/thats_a_penis_reverse.gif Those lyrics really suck...and Neil must live in a vacuum if he didn't see how...phallic that sounds.
  12. Don't have the DVD and wasn't at the show at which it was filmed....So I haven't seen myself on it.
  13. I thought that was a really good episode. Refreshing to see something different, and someone different, who did something different. I'm really interested to see what happens next and what they are going to do with Phil/The Governor/Bill. From what others who have read the comic say The Gov was a real POS. From what I'd heard about him I half expected him to pull out a gun and blast that whole family. Could he have done a 180? That was my favorite episode of the season so far. Oh...BTW...did ya see what the The Gov was driving after his friends dumped him??? It was a great big truck...a semi no less...The Gov is the smartest guy on the show!!!
  14. Those are actually my thoughts. I thought the first installment of the Hobbit was too much, but that's Jackson. I'm anxious to see Smaug! I'm anxious too. I hope Smaug is as well done as Vermithrax Pejorative was done in Dragonslayer back in '81.
  15. I feel the exact same way but I really might not go see it. I didn't see the first Hobbit movie at the movies. It's hard to say.
  16. Are ya kiddin' me??? Are they important???? You can't have a 33 part, 91 minute masterpiece "Hip Hopera" like R Kelly's, Trapped In The Closet without 'em.
  17. 68...I quit with 7:05 left..I choose to forget most songs after Power Windows and I have a short attention...what's that over there?
