  1. My 9 year old student came in the studio crying. I asked what was wrong and he replied, "I failed in subtraction!" I gave him a little pep talk on how we grow from our failures and it helped a bit. Then I said, "Let's rock some ACDC!" He got behind the kit drying his eyes, I turned up the guitar and jammed watching him smile bigger and bigger the whole way through the lesson! Music is good medicine!
  2. CAMERA EYE The guitar solo is unbelievable!
  3. Watch out for the mosh pit!
  4. QUOTE (danielmclark @ May 29 2012, 02:56 PM) This is the third thread about standing vs. sitting in the past three weeks. Each of the other times, amid all the insults that people throw at each other, it boils down to: just don't be a jerk about standing or sitting at the show. Go with the flow. No Kidding!
  5. QUOTE (reani14 @ Jun 10 2011, 01:04 PM)Man, does geddy sound terrible on freewill, hope they touch his vocals up a bit before the dvd comes out.. Go ahead blast me. who cares. the fact is that geddy isnt good live vocally anymore . and this dvd will prove it unless they fix the bad spots.. facts are facts.. Man, you nailed it. I felt sorry for Geddy but the cool thing was that it didn't seem to bother him and still rocked the house!
  6. QUOTE (hunter @ Jun 15 2011, 01:11 PM)ME and a buddy are going. What do you have in mind? Dude! Is that you playing the trees on that YouTube vid? It kicks ass. A group of friends and I are gonna tailgate on the parking lot behind the venue. We'll be there about 6.
  7. Anyone going to the Cricket Wireless show in San Diego this Saturday? Lets hang!
  8. Very nice. Do you have any effects on your voice? Sounds cool!
  9. Alex's guitar solo in La Villa Strangiato should have been on The Hangover when they all woke up.
  10. QUOTE (D3strukt @ May 17 2011, 12:47 AM) QUOTE (SLICKMONO @ May 16 2011, 02:46 PM) QUOTE (D3strukt @ May 14 2011, 12:33 PM)You should do Leave That Thing Alone, and Where's My Thing? Thanks for the suggestion. I really don't know what happened to my interest after the 80's with Rush. Don't get me wrong. I will listen to them 'til I die, but there's something with their earlier stuff that I'm really attracted to. I've tried to convince myself that their newer material kicks ass, but I hit a wall and have to skip songs more often. I just can't feel it like some others do. I vividly remember, at R-30 in San Diego, I saw a beautiful girl one row ahead of me that was singing word for word with their new material. She was in total sync with Geddy. Mind you, she looked exactly like the girl on the front cover of Permanent Waves so in my head, the music faded and I believe I was the only one in the whole show watching this woman singing Jacob's Ladder! Thanks again for the suggestion. They didn't play Jacobs Ladder on the R3O tour. :/ Rush was playing new material. I was hearing the old material in my mind.

  14. QUOTE (psionic11 @ May 12 2011, 11:57 PM)Great work, dude! Wish I could do that, but it would take another lifetime to learn the drums like that. What's next? =) I'm not quite sure what's next. I think I need to learn how to sing. Thank you for the compliment. I really appreciate it.

  17. QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ May 10 2011, 08:36 PM)Here's the list...no artist has more than one. Guess they like YYZ better than LVS. I wouldn't agree, but it's a defensible choice, IMO. Too bad both aren't included... The article is here... http://www.spin.com/articles/playlist-30-g...ever?page=0%2C1 I agree. LVS!!! Check this out.
  18. This is for all the RUSH fans out there.
