Come on man, we can do it! Think about building a Notre Dame replica entirely of pasta! It can be done! I'd also like to say Merry Christmas and a big thank you to Tombstone, Substance, Lorraine (who is smoking hot!) and all the readers of this thread. It's a great source of inspiration for me and it has allowed me to experiment writing directly in English, testing my abilities to the limit. Thank you all and love to you all.3 points

Dear Friends: This thread has gone on so long and began so far back, that I honestly don't remember how I ever got involved in it. Be that as it may, I am in awe at the talent and the imagination of my esteemed cronies. Anyway, the point of this post was to say: RushGoober, I know you are lurking and reading this. Did you ever think the awaiting of your 30000th post would elicit such a thread? Merry Christmas to you, Goobs, and to all of my friends here. Thank you for allowing me to become part of this. I've had more fun than I can tell you. And a very special thank you to Tombstone Mountain that lives in a nonexistent town in Tennessee! Without you, none of this would have happened. P.S. Sounds like an Academy Award acceptance speech, doesn't it? :ebert: :ebert: :ebert:      :cheers:3 points

I booked yesterday off and then got called into work anyways. I usually work a 9 hour shift but got stuck doing floral deliveries for 12 hours yesterday. It was one of the best days of work I've ever had. Handing a basket of flowers or gifts to an 80 year old lady at Christmas is a great feeling.d3 points

A woman of great taste and refinement, I see... It looks like we've got another couple to add to the list. Two forlorn Cubs fans have found one another. Sheldon obviously likes gangsterfurious, so this may cause some problems... You and I are still on though, right? Because if not, I think I'm going to throw my hat into the gangster ring. She did want to try this whole lesbian thing and I did manage to get some softball tickets. A woman of great taste and refinement, I see... It looks like we've got another couple to add to the list. Merry Christmas to all who contribute to this thread, and all who read it. I've enjoyed reading your contributions and getting to know each of you. It's very cool to start a thread with no expectations and watch it grow into something special. I got a PM recently from a reader who told me (us) to never stop doing this, to keep up the creative writing momentum. It was great to hear that feedback. Have a mirth filled holiday from the heart of TM!3 points

I just keep reading those words and think to myself "Has this guy actually listened to Yes?" I know you have KL. Squire's tone and creativity we're unmatched in that era. A decent player?!? You just committed bass player blasphemy!3 points

That is hilarious for real... :LMAO: never seen that That's OK....you and 99.99999% of the American viewing public have never seen MSNBC...3 points

HPL, you would never know that English isn't your first language. I admire very much anyone that can speak more than one language. Once I tried to learn another language only to discover that before I could master a second language, I had to take remedial grammar classes in my first. :laughing guy:2 points

You just committed bass player blasphemy! You put TM in a getup like this and let him loose and you would never know the difference........ :D-13: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/3d/Chris_squire_1978.jpg/391px-Chris_squire_1978.jpg My hair is naturally curly big guy. Chris Squire is a monster bass player-no way around it. What Kenny Lee said is just a headscratcher. It's like saying Gale Sayers was a decent running back. Sorry. I've learned a lot of Yes parts on bass in the past. Not only did it not "grab" me, I didn't find it challenging. He's a very good player and played what was appropriate for the songs. That doesn't make him a monster. I realize I'm in the minority. Perhaps I've missed something. Hit me with some Chris Squire that will blow me away, please. I'll give it an objective listen. I'm a bassist myself, if you're not blown away—you're not paying attention. It just doesn't make sense KL. His tone is just incredible. His ability to create interesting counterpoints within those complex structures is amazing. Why give you an album to make my point when you think he was merely playing "appropriate" basslines? What does that even mean? "Chris, what an appropriate bassline you've created mate. Don't do anything inappropriate chap!"2 points

This is a thread overrun by hooligans clamoring for the girls to partake in lesbian activities. You might want to look elsewhere for that "inner beauty" stuff. Remember, girls, the ones you have to watch out for are those who seem to be defending your sacred honor...2 points

Is one of the requirements to get a prom date from the esteemed Dr. Sheldon Cooper the ability to retrieve the DNA of Leonard Nimoy, or to bring Leonard Nimoy himself? ;)2 points

I keep trying to picture an "appropriate" appropriate gift but all I can picture is Geddy naked under my tree with a red bow tied around his mid-section. :| I've been good all year and am anxiously awaiting a naked Alex under my tree with mistletoe instead of a red bow around his mid-section. I shan't be good for long. :fury:2 points

Tell Rocco and Luca to beware of Holierthanthouy if they capture him. I think Warwick taught him some old leprechaun tricks. He may offer to grant them three wishes in exchange for his freedom.2 points

Bryan Adams is older than 43, isn't he? And Narpet, you and I are living proof of how well people age. We're here, aren't we? ;)2 points

I think you are right. The last time I saw a picture of him was in the eighties. Since then apparently, Bryan and I have both aged a bit. Pity. He looks like he's taken care of himself I agree. Even though he looks much older, he still looks good. Some of us just age well.......2 points

Ummn, I was posting on another message board about an unrelated topic, and after a while I just found it exhausting. There was a lot of politics and one-upmanship and meanness, and I remember thinking "I am so tired of this, I just want to talk about Rush." So I searched on the internet, and therushforum.com seemed like as good a bet for a forum to discuss Rush. :)2 points
