Between the Wheels.

Almost went Enemy Within for it's inspiration, but BTW's "That's how it is" sentiment is slightly more powerful to me.

smile.gif First post... I had no idea a forum for devoted Rush fans existed, I'm really happy to have found it biggrin.gif

And my favorite song from this album is The Enemy Within..... it was Distant Early Warning for a long time, but when I got Chronicles on DVD and watched the video, for some reason it swayed my opinion smile.gif

Red Sector A, since this song has such strong ties to the subject matter. Geddy's parents met a Auschwiz as teenagers. 2.gif

This is my favorite Rush album, hands down. So it was really hard to pick just one song. In fact I guess the one I picked isnt my favorite, they all are. I really love every song on this album. And if I could sing like Geddy I would sing along with all of them... They are a lot of fun to play too.

I went with Red Lenses just because of its weird-ness...

I think that this is one of Rush's most solid albums, with no real outstanding track but all good songs.

Distant Early Warning has special meaning to me, but my favourite is probably The Enemy Within   2.gif

I would have to say "Between The Wheels". That song is so melodic that it gets me thinking and what a great way to end the album as well.

The Enemy Within is the only choice for me.  I like the reggae feel to it and the lyrics are awesome.  I watched Chronicles two nights ago to remind me how great the video is to this song.

i have to give a slight edge here to distant early warning - rush sure had a habit in the 80's of beginning each album with arguably it's strongest track.  very close behind is betwen the wheels, but i've also always loved afterimage as well.  when i first got this album, it took me awhile to really get into kid gloves and red lenses, thinking the lyircs weren't necessarily up to rush standards, but it didn't take me too long to appreciate these songs either - a really great album...

The guitar solo in Afterimage is enough for me to vote this song as my favorite from the album. It is so powerful emotionally. This is such a well made album!
