  1. QUOTE (A Companion Unobtrusive @ Jan 28 2005, 01:48 PM) Ding ding ding ding dibby-dibby Ding ding ding ding dibby-dibby PING ding ding ding dibby-dibby PING ding ding ding dibby-dibby Dibby-di-ding ding Dibby-di-ding ding Drring ding ding Drring ding ding Easy! Is it possible that this is Tom Sawyer? Either that or YYZ.
  2. Could it be: Alex Lifeson Neil Ellwood Peart Gary Lee Weinrib If it isn't this, I have NO CLUE where to begin.
  3. Could the picture represent the song Stick it Out: Don't swallow your pride. In that the president won't swallow his pride and leave Iraq until the job is done?
  4. The other day when my mom and brother were gone and my dad was at work, I sneaked out and went to the record store and bought: Emerson, Lake and Palmer-Brain Salad Surgery Yes-The Yes Album Yes-Relayer I am super pleased with all three. Befoer these discoveries, I thought I had run out of good music to buy! Next on my to-buy list is ELP's Tarkus.
  5. I don't have to "go to school." I'm homeschooled. Right now I am sitting in my work area with my brother who is also homeschooled. We are both doing absolutely no work but are on our favorite forums instead. He is on some heavy metal forum.
  6. Got it!!! WoooHoooo!!! It wasn't the most honorable way to achieve my 100th post, but since when am I an honorable kind of guy?
  7. I suppose it would be OK to feed a dog chicken and steak; they probably wouldn't complain! The dog food I give my dog is lamb and rice based. I have heard that you are not supposed to give a dog pork though.
  8. I have a dog. His name is Rudy. He always begs to go out. When I do let him out, he just wants to roll in the grass or, usually, bask in the sun. Can you imagine how cool of a life that would be, simply choosing whether to roll in the grass or sunbathe? Dogs don't have a care in the world. No supervisors, or work, or cooking, or cleaning, or bills, or in-laws.....
  9. I have recently become an Arby's aficionado. I had never eaten there before a week ago, and I just got a job there the day before yesterday. Does anybody here like Arby's?
  10. QUOTE (bardan @ Sep 6 2004, 04:05 PM) QUOTE (Moonraker @ Sep 6 2004, 02:17 AM) looking for 18-25 year old females hey, me too! Me three!!!
  11. Because we are BORED, can we post obscene pictures or blurt obscenities on this particular thread??? I particularlly want to have a good rant full of swears, potty language, and insults to the biggest politicians in this country. That would relieve so much stress right now. I also have a bitching headache--not one that is so bad that I could honestly lay down and sob over, but just a dull pain that is slowing me down here-and-there. I will post one hilarious picture for lack of anything better to say or do: http://www.fogma.co.uk/photos/cat_sniper.jpg
  12. I actually like Losing It. It's on Signals, track 7. I wish they could play it live, but they would need a violinist.
  13. QUOTE (Slaine mac Roth @ Dec 3 2004, 12:32 PM) Listening to Natural Science today (first time for a while) I was struck by the vocal effects used during Hyperspace. For the 'Quantum leap forward' verse there's a sort of reverse echo effect used which I think is a fnatastic treatment for a vocal track (I don't know what the proper term for it is). Later, during the 'Computerised clinic' verse, if you listen carefully, you can hear a strange 1970s Science-Fiction computer sound that I love as well. I know what you're talking about in that part of Natural Science! It sounds like piccolo or pan pipes or something tinkly. You are very observant.
  14. I've got a couple of faves: Circumstances- the keyboard melody in the middle of the song, reminds me of a carnival or merry-go-round or something festive. YYZ- the keyboard chords played on synthesizer during the bridge of the song; I like the fatness of the chords VERY ANALOG!!! Vital Signs- The high notes played on the keyboard at the end of the song when Geddy sings "Everybody got, mixed feelings..." Also the guitar chording during this same part is very emotion and poignant. Lock and Key- this guitar solo is probably the only time in which Alex's work shows through as this album and Power Windows were heavily laden with synths. Listen to it if you don't believe me. Finally, I love the organ noise at the beginning of Animate, off Counterparts. Counterparts is probably the last great album they did IMO.
  15. Counterparts, to me, is the most underrated Rush album.
  16. This record and AFTK are the records that I like every single song. Grace Under Pressure, especially. When I bought this record, it really changed my life. Each song has its own special quality that makes me listen to it again. You hear something new each time you listen to one of the songs.
  17. My favorite album is Grace Under Pressure. You gotta love it.
  18. Love your avatar kazzman! It's hilarious. I actually have the Will Ferrell greatest hits, so I can appreciate this great avatar. Nice choice!
