For a long, long time my favourite was Afterimage, even though for a few years I was unable to listen to it because of the memories it evoked (it reminded me very strongly of the death of my brother). However, more recently Red Sector A has come to the fore simply because of the passion behind the song.

We as individuals should practice this song in our everyday lives a little more often. cocktail.gif

Now this one is difficult as GUP is one of my fave albums. It was a toss-up between Afterimage, Enemy Within and Body Electric, and Afterimage just won out. This is another really cool song. I'm surprised at Body Electric not receiving any votes wacko.gif as I really like this song...

One of the reasons I'm so into this band is the way the adrenalize me. It's like adrenaline is injected directly into my bloodstream. No band can do that more than Rush, and Distant Early Warning is probably the song that can does it the most.

DEW takes it.

The Enemy Within has the be one of the catchiest songs Rush has ever put out. That is one song actually makes me want to get up and dance.

That and Vital Signs.

I always loved those lines in the last section,

"To you-is it movement or is it action?

It is contact or just reaction?

And you-revolution or just resistance?

Is it living, or just existence?

eah, you-it takes a little more persistence

To get up and go the distance..."

Especially hearing live versions of this song. Definatly a very good one.

My favourite part is when Geddy sings the chorus but skips every second line..

I'm not giving in....

...

I'm not missing out....

....

So damn cool

For me, The Enemy Within, no contest.

Red Sector A

Especially when I learned of the meaning behing the song. Geddy's Mother is a wonderful person. God Bless her.

Just noticed that Between the Wheels is in the lead here. Wonder if that's because it was in the live set this time around

I had the same thought ... I would think it would affect it some.

Very very tough to choose here...Distant Early Warning, Red Sector A, Between The Wheels, The Enemy Within are all fantastic songs, but I had to go with The Body Electric cuz I've always liked that song.
