The only reason Cheap Trick even became famous is because they had a gimmick that worked and a cute lead singer. Did looks play a factor? Because the music is fun pop but I still am not sold on them as one of the greats! Sure looks played a factor. People used to comment on how cute Robin Zander was all the time. Why is their music better than say Foreigner or some manufactured pop rock band with a pretty singer? Plenty of bands have been manufactured by the business and sell because they fit a certain image or something, not artistic integrity. I see why you love them so much but when push comes to shove I don't quite get the reputation they have on this forum compared to other comparable bands. But In Color is great pop!
