Exciting stuff!!!

514. Tres Hombres - ZZ Top (Self-Indulgence)

That little 'ol band from Texas needs a few on here. I like this one a lot. La Grange! Beer Drinkers!

515. Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden (Lucas)

Getting serious now ... Killers is my favorite, but the debut is not far behind .. A complete classic from beginning to end, and Phantom Of The Opera is Maiden at their best

I also am partial to the simplicity of Running Free

Beautiful. Those who choose to not try this have my pity.

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner. Yes they would be last even after Yes.

This was on my list. Since I didn't want to be selfish I wanted to see if others would guess. A very good album. One more to cross of my list.

517. Billy Joel - Piano Man (New World Man)

A very good album. I am no expert on B.J. but it must rank as one of his best. A little bit of country(in a good way)and a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Some epic sounding stuff too.

I get the feeling most of us are either bored with this whole list thing by now or just burnt out. Either way, let's all just take it easy and try to enjoy it.

I do want to say though that there is one really obvious(at least it's obvious to me and probably to many people on this list)omission from the whole list so far. The only hint I'll give is that it's a prog metal album by a prog metal band.

There's also a Rock band from the U.S.A. that has decades of touring and solid albums under their belt. Yet they had no mention in the first 500. I'm surprised I forgot about 'em.

Foreigner? I don't believe they had any. Kind of a travesty in my view but I didn't put them up so there is that. For Lou Grahams voice alone they should get a few albums up there anyway. Head Games etc. I guess technically they are a British/American rock band though...

I am ready to post some more and still have plenty in the chamber if and when my turn ever comes up again... :codger: :sigh:

One guy in the band has an ironic last name considering the facial hair(to put it mildy) of the other two members. :D

519. Queen - Live Killers (goose)

The performances on this album perfectly capture the electricity that is Queen live.. Side 2 has Freddy in all his majesty interacting with the crowd and giving a killer acoustic set with Brian. Spread your Wings finally gets the treatment it deserves (the studio cut is sorely lacking) and Don't Stop Me as well. and the version of Brighton Rock has all the extended wankery a rock instrumentalist would want.

At this point I just want enough people to post to keep this going. It got kind of slow for a little while earlier. Did you not get the memo that you can post 8 albums after your last one? I know I was trying to encourage others including myself to post who didn't get a chance towards the end of the last list and for others to respect that but we are past that point now. So just count to 8 then wait. Hey, that rhymes. :D

520. AC/DC - High Voltage (Narps)

That pretty much takes care of the "great" AC/DC. This one is worth the price of admission for just It's A long Way To The Top (if you wanna rock "n" roll) not to mention the rest of the straight up rock tunes. How you mix in the Bagpipes in such a cool and inspired way is beyond me. I never tire of hearing that one. Just makes me feel good. Genius... :codger:
