409. Jesus Was a Capricorn - Kris Kristofferson (ReGorLaTroy)

Another one of those genius songwriters that doesn't get the legendary status he deserves and here is one of his best.

[407. Rock n Roll Animal - Lou Reed-(Self-Indulgence)]

I've never heard it personally but a guy I worked with a long time ago said it was a really good album. I believe it's a live album if I'm not mistaken.

Yes sir. And I believe it from 1973. Sweet Jane intro is great. Best version ever.

410. Living Years - Mike & the Mechanics (New World Man)

One of the best pop/pop rock albums from the eighties. This is a real winner. No bad songs on here. The last song on it "why me?" is a mini prog pop masterpiece. The whole album is really good though. Very under rated album.

I'm enjoying just reading this list and shaking my head at some of you.

Mick

Dude...we both love stuff that should see us hand in our man cards, never mind our Rush cards!

But outta curiosity, away from my (often specially chosen) picks, which do you despise the most?

Me? Bay City Rollers haha!

Go ahead, I dare you to listen to Summer Love Sensation and not feel a rush of endorphins !!!

It's even better if you are decked out in tartan

411. Now ! - Les Paul (Lucas)

The man every musician listed here owes an enormous debt to, and this is my favorite of his ... My Dad would listen to this all the time, and while it is not Les' earliest stuff, he rerecorded some of his classics for this album ... "Lover" is still one of the most intriguing pieces of guitar I have ever heard

You know I only ever nudge nudge, wink wink!

I love seeing some of the, how shall I out it, almost confessional favourites included! Some guys on this forum only ever seem to want the elitist cool bands to be spoken of.

I was actually really happy you mentioned KISS are your favourite band! Good on you for having your own mind! They don't get the greatest amount of love here.

412. The Downward Spiral- Nine Inch Nails (djflex)

A stellar example of industrial that appealed to a wide audience. NIN established a hint at the genius of trent reznor on this release. A band that as of yet not on our list

405. If You Want Blood You've Got It - AC/DC (Narps)

Self explanatory I would think...

Saw 'em on The Midnight Special in 1978, and went the aforementioned Sam Goody the following week ... I saw the display with Angus with the guitar going thru him, and never looked back

Narps, there's another live album that needs to be on here

Is it gonna be you or me ?
