When that happened at the Grace concert, I almost made a rosebud. That was one of the best ones and the very first boom of my first RUSH concert. It surprised me so much it shook me even I was about 30 feet back. The Hampton Coliseum was GA back then and the blast left a smoke cloud all over the stage...loved it. It's funny, I don't remember the explosion in the Weapon, although I saw that tour. When I watch the video, I see the smoke going up after the flash just after Lifeson's solo, but you don't hear the boom on the audio track.
