toymaker
Sometimes I call muffins cupcakes and vice versa. Actually, I think what happens mostly is that I call them both muffins. My wife does not understand how I could get them mixed up. I also call orange green sometimes, but I'm not color blind. Do you ever call things the wrong thing? Cupcakes are little cakes with icing, in the shape of a muffin. So cupcakes are basically snooty muffins? The "swells" of the muffin world? That explains a lot. They have similar shapes. They have similar ingredients (they're both essentially cake, no?). They're baked in similar pans. They both sometimes come with those little paper shells that I accidentally always eat part of. Muffins simply grow beyond their boundaries. Cupcakes, to make up for the fact that they don't have those muscular tops, make up for it with icing. They often contain fruit, nuts, veggies (Morning Glory muffins can contain shredded carrots), whereas cupcakes are just cake, with icing.

EagleMoon
So we all got a little angry over in the Fraroc thread (well it wasn't a Fraroc thread, but somehow it turned into one...again...). So I used all the heat from the argument to bake a batch of cupcakes...who wants? http://data.whicdn.com/images/30047635/original.jpg People got angry? Time for some anger management? Sugar's going to just make people go off the deep end so maybe we need some sugar free options?
