When RTB first came out I was in heaven. I was wanting them to go radio friendly at that point and boy did they. ha

It reversed a long trend of declining sales and interest in the band. And then CP happened, shitting the advances away.

At the time CP was their highest charting record though. What were final sales figures?

It was the highest charting because everyone went out and bought it after RTB, and it only went gold because after people heard it and the singles, they didn't buy the album.

Your disdain for CP is well documented just as my criticism of SnA is:)

S&A is my second least favorite album. But it is usually just boring, not openly offensively bad as CP is.

Different strokes. I was let down initially by T4E after really liking CP. T4E did end up growing on me, but not what I was wanting or expecting at the time. I bought it at Best Buy at midnight. A guitar player friend(virtuoso) was with me and we were both looking at each other like "what is this". I'll never forget him saying it sounded like they recorded Alex's guitar in a french fryer. LMAO!

Indeed...T4E is my favorite post MP release...or it was until CA was released.

I loved it. I do think the the decision to make Nobody's Hero a single was probably not a good one. Wasn't that the second single?

Sadly, I find Nobody's Hero to be one of 3 or 4 songs on CP which doesn't suck. Starting with Stick It Out, one of the worst Rush songs ever, and following Nobody's Hero with Double Agent and Cold Fire was just flooding the airwaves with bad Rush songs.

Double Agent is awesome. You're just a curmudgeon

Between Sun and Moon totally awesome. Maybe my fav along with CTTC and LTTA.

BS&M is completely awesome.

Love that song. I love most of the songs on the album. Prophet Caveman kicked their ass in the right direction

Counterparts is still their best record since the time it came out. Alex's tone is just killer. CA might've rivaled it if it weren't mixed like crap.
