When RTB first came out I was in heaven. I was wanting them to go radio friendly at that point and boy did they. ha

It reversed a long trend of declining sales and interest in the band. And then CP happened, shitting the advances away.

At the time CP was their highest charting record though. What were final sales figures?

If they replaced RTB with Dreamline, then did BTW, and followed with Chemistry or Analog it would be close to the perfect set for me.

I like Chemistry, but I've always thought that Countdown would make for a great closer for the first set. Just my opinion.

They sound great tonight! I will be seeing them in New Orleans... just TWO more DAYS!

Yer from MS? My sis lives in a small town called Hickory...outside of Meridian. Ever heard of it?

Indeed - been through there before!

Dreamline is a great song right until this part

"we are young"

That chorus kills the power of the song for me...thanks Rupert Hine.

I know he sang the dreadful processed "Superconductor" line in Superconductor, but did Rupert Hine sing backup on the "We are young" as well?

Don't blink you will miss it. I live in the smokies in TN, but I love me some MS. Funny, the tea gets sweeter the further you go south in MS. Swear you guys are freaks

It was the highest charting because everyone went out and bought it after RTB, and it only went gold because after people heard it and the singles, they didn't buy the album.

I loved it. I do think the the decision to make Nobody's Hero a single was probably not a good one. Wasn't that the second single?

Your disdain for CP is well documented just as my criticism of SnA is:)

Sadly, I find Nobody's Hero to be one of 3 or 4 songs on CP which doesn't suck. Starting with Stick It Out, one of the worst Rush songs ever, and following Nobody's Hero with Double Agent and Cold Fire was just flooding the airwaves with bad Rush songs.

S&A is my second least favorite album. But it is usually just boring, not openly offensively bad as CP is.

Did I miss anything? Just ran to the restroom and concessions during the break! ;)

:hail:  :hotdog:

CP sucks...but I wouldn't say that you "missed" it.

The decision to record and release NH was not a good one. I wonder if CP was their ecstasy period. Feeling all empathetic...
