That voice... just....

:boo hiss:  :tsk:

just give me the real :rush:

The vocals here about 2,673 times better than Geddy's on the Time Machine Tour.

And goddamn, but Rik sure could out sing Geddy back in the day!

(Skip to about 4:26 for jaw-dropping control and range.)

There are a lot of moments where i feel like Rik could out sing him! He was a great singer and still is

I think Rik had better technique than Ged. He was able to hit those notes reliably and with a lot of control and precision.

He was more of a singer where Ged was more of a screamer, at least on the older albums.

The first self titled album and Rock'n Roll Machine were officially released in Canada and sold as imports in the US. When they got a US deal they combined tracks from both albums for their first US release which they called Rock'n Roll Machine.

I thought Rik was a better singer than Geddy and a better technical player than Alex but that Alex was more original. My favorite Triumph albums are Allied Forces, Just a Game and Thunder Seven but the breakdown is that I like most of what Rik wrote and some of what Gil wrote. Rik had some early duds but some great stuff from the start. Gil took longer to mature. Then they started to get too formulaic sounding. Rik had strong progressive leanings but also some more commercial moments. Gil was more hard blues rock but I can't take many of his songs seriously.
