Lorraine
It doesn't look so bad. Or maybe I should say, it isn't as painful looking at the results as it was voting. :)

LedRush
It doesn't look so bad. Or maybe I should say, it isn't as painful looking at the results as it was voting. :) I'm not so sure. If someone were to argue with me that no album after HYF was better than any album with Peart before it, I'd go Nic Cage on them. The synth albums seem extremely overrated in the poll, while the later work extremely underrated. But in terms of "surprises", I'd say that I'm surprised that HYF is as high as it is as it is considered the band's worst album by so many, and I'm a bit surprised by GuP as well. On the other side, my only surprise is CA, which should be higher but died an early death due to the machinations of the Synth Cabal.
Lorraine
Well, I certainly wouldn't have Test For Echo at 18. And Power Windows wouldn't be above Caress of Steel. Other than that, I could live with the results.

Everything Counterparts-onward is ranked too low, especially Vapor Trails, which at LEAST deserved 5 more rounds of fun, and Clockwork Angels, which has NO place being ranked behind Hold Your Fire. I'll accept the Counterparts and Snakes being bottom 10, I've accepted the fact that I'm in the minority that loves those albums :D AFTK and Fly By Night are ranked way too high for me, and while I would like Grace Under Pressure in the top 5, I can live with #7.

The Analog Cub
This battle has really fallen into that trap of "everything post-HYF is worse than 75-87". Which is entirely false... At least it was done right and the debut was knocked out the first round.

EagleMoon
All of the voting is subjective. Just depends on who happens to sign into the forum while this is going on. It really isn't serious and doesn't really mean anything.

apetersvt
:rush: going first is still a crime against humanity in my view. Man O man... :sigh: The debut is number 8 on my list. I certainly know that people have different tastes, but I love it more than anything after MP (with the possible exception of the surprisingly awesome Clockwork Angels)
J2112YYZ
Vapor Trails and Clockwork Angels should have stuck around a little longer but other than that, i'm fine with the list.

bathory
it ain't my list, but I got no problems other than the debut being ranked last. every song on the album's better than you bet your life, or bravado, or heresy, etc, etc. and of course the synth stuff outlasted all those foo fighters albums they've put out this century!

bathory
http://rateyourmusic.com/artist/rush looks about the same as sputnik, except way more ratings and there's not a strong rush following there so the rating for CA isn't quite so f***ed up. in general, people seem to agree that rush peaked from 1976-1984 (especially 1976-1981, obviously) and they think everything from 1985 to now is pretty average, with CP and CA being the shining lights in a sea of queef.
