len(songs)
Despite an awful chorus and awful lyrics, I never find myself skipping Virtuality. There's just something inherently "entertaining" about the song that really endeared it to me. I understand perfectly why people slam it: it's definitely not very well-written from an "objective" standpoint. But I like it regardless :) Edited September 29, 2014 by len(songs)
Brucey
I like it too. Especially Savagegraces rendition of it!
JimboWTF
I don't think it is a bad song at all. The lyrics are kinda corny, but it was the mid-90s :)
Rod in Toronto
The riffage in Virtuality is very good.

Cyclonus X-1
Like a lot of other Test for Echo songs, it's goofy lyrically but solid musically. And as is the case with most of those other tunes, the lyrical silliness doesn't detract from my enjoyment of it.

Geddy's Soul Patch
Fantastic song. In fact, the chorus is even better than the riff IMO. I love Geddy's vocal layering
savagegrace26
I like it. Nice riffage. Love that "dance" beak in the middle. Not their greatest song by any means but has a nice groove to it and is enjoyable to listen to it. It inspires me...

Sometimes people focus too much on lyrics! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3nFk2_ij10I realize its my own problem but it reminds me of a heavy version of something The Archies would have released back in the day. laughedatbytime
Decent song for that period in their career, and the lyrics are just dumb enough to be mockable. I never skip it, it almost always puts me in a good mood. Plus, being after Permanent Waves, it's not written in crayon.

savagegrace26
Despite an awful chorus and awful lyrics I think some of the lyrics are pretty good. Well just these parts: Like a shipwrecked mariner adrift on an unknown seaClinging to the wreckage of the lost ship FantasyI'm a castaway, stranded in a desolate landI can see the footprints in the virtual sand Astronauts in the weightlessness of pixellated spaceExchange graffiti with a disembodied raceI can save the universe in a grain of sandI can hold the future in my virtual hand

The Analog Grownup
The riff draws me in and I like the solo part also. I've never paid that much attention to lyrics anyway, and I always hear it as "that boy, that girl". Not their best effort but for the most part I listen to it when it comes up on my music player :)
