Drums sound too low in the mix IMO. If this is how the production of the album sounds, I'll be a bit disappointed.

I'm not crazy about the chorus -- a little too singsong-y for my taste -- but the rest of the song sounds pretty cool.

^Yeah, I didn't really care for The Hunter's cover, but this one is just incredible. Even if the album sucks, which I'm sure it won't, I'd buy it anyways just for the cover.

I got the deluxe edition of The Hunter which looks a hell of a lot better than the regular version.

I believe the vinyl is going to be in a quadruple gatefold jacket actually. The cover for both the CD and vinyl looks amazing!

I can't wait for June 24th! I got turned onto Mastodon when Crack The Skye came out. Oblivian was the first song I heard from them. I like their later stuff better than the earlier stuff, but I love it all. How can you not get blown away by something like Hearts Alive! :haz:

 

And I'm seeing them live tomorrow night! I can't wait.

 

As for the new single...it didn't blow me away, but I'm sure its going to grow on me over time. :banana:

Excellent! :cheers: :haz: I've not listened to it too much yet. I don't like to listen to new songs too much before the actual album is out, unless I'm not sure I want to buy it. I was the same during the RUSH Time Machine period with Caravan and BU2B. I gave them about 3 or 4 listens then left them alone till the album came out. I'm doing the same thing with the new Priest song, about 5 listens and then wait till the album comes out. :smoke:
