Geddy's Soul Patch Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I've always felt that the repeated piano note during the closing of The Spirit of Radio sounds like Geddy's proudest piano ever. Does anyone agree? 3
ThatLightInYourEyes Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I had to go over the song in my head before I remembered. It did sound like an actual piano, didn't it?
EagleMoon Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I love the glissando right after the repeated note. 1
Narps Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I love the glissando right after the repeated note.I prefer my glissando with a schmear and some coffee...... :D-13: 2
lifeson90 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Yeah is funny how everything rush do sounds uniquely rush isnt it, i mean even a little ordinary piano piece in a track like spirit of radio has a totally rush feel to it. Mindyou in my view ged's keyboards are some of the best and most unique in rock.
Pound of Obscure Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I've always felt that the repeated piano note during the closing of The Spirit of Radio sounds like Geddy's proudest piano ever. Does anyone agree? He just beams. You can hear him, "Look ma, no hands!" 1
GeddysMullet Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I love the glissando right after the repeated note. That is an incredibly snazzy little combination, isn't it! :rush: 1
jnoble Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 just pound an 'E' on two octaves on the nearest keyboard and you too can play the piano part to 'Spirit'!
