goose Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 You guys sound very tight and authentic - the tone, the feel, it's all there. La Villa is always a challenge. Here's ours from 2 weeks ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAs0W-KHhOM&feature=share&list=UUU-s7t_f37y-onx7iCrWR1g :7up:
Distant Signals Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Here is my Rush band doing Chemistry
Aikenrooster Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 My son doing a drum cover of Cygnus X-1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grbKXag_iJ4That was AWESOME!
Yury Oransky Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Ok, I will begin from a last one, of me and my son. This was when he begged me to let him sing on russian, not english. Well, the russian is our native. Hey, look at Geddy's mouth! are you sure he sings not the same btw?

Distant Signals Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 This is Red Barchetta from our show in Cleveland this past weekend.
edm2112 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Attempted to get a few drum videos done today...however my camera had other plans. Long story short, several frustrated takes and zero usable video footage means I only got the audio from the first song on my list...YYZ. Afterwards I decided to take a break for the rest of the day. https://soundcloud.c...over-audio-eric

theparadiddler Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Yes hey! I have recently covered a Rush song that no one's covered before - yes, I'm the first one. A little shocked, actually, 'cause it's one of my favorites (I say that about a lot of Rush songs, because I just can't decide). So I'll put the video here, and I'll also include a link to an article I wrote explaining my thinking and approach to making this video. I hope you enjoy it - here goes! http://youtu.be/IIxl5sW9L3E And here's the link to the accompanying article: Drum Cover - Rush, "Nocturne" 'Thank you very much - goodnight!' 1

theparadiddler Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) And now that I'm on this subject... I thought I'd post another cover that I did the day Clockwork Angels was released, sort of a celebration of it's release. Here's "Headlong Flight": http://youtu.be/woecJc74c1c And of course, I wrote an article regarding everything behind the video, both the video itself, and the actual drumming (the most important part, of course): Drum Cover - Rush, "Headlong Flight" 'I hope to see you again sometime!' forcetenrushtribute Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) I just arrived to this forum and was referred to this thread as the place where cover recordings are allowed. I've recently started a Rush Tribute Band in Nashville TN and below is our cover of Spirit Of Radio. I hope you enjoy. Please note - our purpose is NOT to try and prove that we are something we are not. There is only ONE "Rush" and we are not them and will never be them (or anywhere even close). The reason we've done this project is because we love Rush and because their music feels good not only to listen to but to play as well. I hope everyone enjoys what we've done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHPcigbpd0M BTW - I am the vocalist. Edited March 7, 2014 by forcetenrushtribute 1
forcetenrushtribute Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Nice job guys. Fun as hell, ain't it? Sure is! This was our first video and I don't know if you saw on the description, but we didn't even get together for a rehearsal before the session. I just told the guys what we would play, they did their homework, I did mine, showed up to the studio and we were out within two and a half hours (including set up and tear down). I was blown away. And even though I've played with both the bass player and drummer on other gigs, I never knew the guitar player before the session and none of the three of them even met each other prior to the session. All of that to say, I'm excited about our future. With some rehearsals, a good set list and some great bookings, this band will be quite a ride - and a dream come true for me that I've had since I was 15 years old. On another note, I'm quite familiar with your band -kRUSH! I've seen a lot of your stuff online and even responded to you on another forum where you asked about a "Geddy wig". Glad to finally meet you - even if only online. BTW....I LOVE this place already!!!! Looks like a great escape spot for die hard Rush fans like us. 1

How's the Rush scene in Nashville? Drove up there from Mobile to see the boys last time they came around. Hell, every city needs more Rush. 1

How's the Rush scene in Nashville? Drove up there from Mobile to see the boys last time they came around. Hell, every city needs more Rush. Thanks! Glad you liked it. As for your question about the Rush scene. It IS "Music City". People here pretty much live and breathe music of any kind and Rush is no exception. Plenty of Rush T-shirts walking around town. As you saw, they sell out the halls up here. Thankfully....there currently is NO "Rush" tribute bands in town so I figured, I better go for it before I lose the opportunity. There is a Chicago Tribute Band, and Eagles Tribute Band and some others. A couple of the clubs in town are quite welcoming of tribute bands. Looking forward to getting started.
forcetenrushtribute Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) Just submitted our video to a local club for hopefully our first booking. :D Edited March 8, 2014 by forcetenrushtribute

forcetenrushtribute Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Thank you :dweez:You're very much welcome! The best part of being in a Rush Tribute Band is supporting and being supported by other Rush Tribute Bands! We're all playing the same game, for the same reasons and with the same goals! :D I see it as a big family! Gotta stick together! :D Edited March 11, 2014 by forcetenrushtribute 2
