My four

The Body electric/Middle Town Dreams becomes Kid Gloves/Emotion Detector

Halo effect with Distant early Warning (played after the garden)

Put Dreamline in Tom Sawyer's Spot and in Dreamline's old spot put Prime Mover

(People are going to hate me for this) 2112 with Marathon

(if a fifth could be picked) Red Sector A with Jacobs Ladder/Xanadu (would really like these ones, but I had to clean out the low points on the list first (no disrespect for Middletown dreams, but get another PW song out there is my dream))

You made up for it with Jacob's Ladder/ Xanadu!

1. Drop "Grand Designs" for "CLOSER TO THE HEART"

2. Drop "Far Cry" for "LIMELIGHT"

3. Add "BU2B" after "Caravan"

4. Drop "Dreamline" for "MARATHON," but keep "Manhattan Project"

These changes would definitely bring more energy to the crowd. (If I had a fifth choice, I'd drop "Bravado" and leave "The Pass" to be played every night.)

Thats not bad at all, I would replace Bravado for Limelight though and keep Far Cry in the set. Its pretty damn good live.

For the first set, it would make sense to drop Analog Kid (AHHH!). It will no longer be the 30th anniversary of the album, which was part of the reason for its inclusion. It could be replaced with The Trees. Make Limelight permanant on the 5th slot, no more switching around with Body Electric and Middletown.

For the second set, just go full Clockwork Angels, all the way. They already have 10 songs rehearsed, and play 9 per night (except one of the nights they filmed). We won't count BU2B2, which is more of a breather than an actual song. This basicly means that 2 of the non-CW songs on the second set would be chopped, or for the purposes of this thread, replaced. Manhattan Project/Dreamline and Red Sector A would have to be it, as theres no way in hell YYZ is going.

So:

Subdivisions

Big Money

Force Ten

Grand Designs

Limelight

Territories

The Trees

Bravado/The Pass

Wheres My Thing (w/ drum solo)

Far Cry

-

Caravan

BU2B

Clockwork Angels

The Anarchist

Carnies

Halo Effect (still with intro)

Seven Cities Of Gold

The Wreckers

Headlong Flight (w/drum solo)

BU2B2

Wish Them Well

The Garden

Short Drum Solo

YYZ

(strings leave)

TSOR

-

TS

2112 (I, II, VII)

Very Nice Setlist, I would love to hear Limelight, The Trees and all of CA!

I loved the CA setlist—CA, PoW and GUP are some of my favorites. But I really think they should change more than 4 songs, and balance the set out with more 70's stuff. Here's my setlist change wishlist, with only four changes (sigh) to make the biggest impact, and a couple of the original songs moved in the set.

Subdivisions

The Big Money

*The Enemy Within

Grand Designs

The Body Electric

Territories

The Analog Kid

Where's My Thing

-Drum Solo 1

The Spirit Of Radio

Far Cry

Caravan

Clockwork Angels

The Anarchist

Carnies

Headlong Flight

-Drum Solo 2

Seven Cities Of Gold

Wish Them Well

The Garden

*Hemispheres (ok, a somewhat abbreviated one)

-Drum Solo 3

YYZ

*A Farewell To Kings

*Anthem

Tom Sawyer

2112

I really don't like Subdivisions as the opener, like, at all. I think Far Cry should go in that spot.

Set One

Far Cry

The Big Money

Subdivisions

Grand Designs

Prime Mover/Kid Gloves

Territories

The Analog Kid

Bravado/The Pass

Where's My Thing (with drum solo)

Limelight

Intermission

I say do the 2nd half of the show a little differently

Set Two

Caravan

BU2B

Clockwork Angels

The Anarchist

Carnies

Halo Effect

Seven Cities of Gold

The Wreckers

Headlong Flight (with drum solo)

Alex Solo

BU2B2

Wish Them Well

The Garden

2nd Intermission

"Set" Three (still with strings)

The Spirit of Radio

Manhattan Project

Neil Solo 3 (with intro to next song)

La Villa Strangiato

Tom Sawyer (Thank you goodnight)

Encore

2112 (Overture, Temples, Grand Finale)

Not really that much longer at all, and I think it has a very nice flow to it.

EDIT: Whoops, just realized I completely missed the point of the thread. Oh well, I'll keep it here cause I like the setlist lol

I think it's time for them to play "The Enemy WIthin" once again... They could switch it out for The Body Electric so it becomes The Enemy Within/Middletown Dreams. I love that song and wish they would play at least once more...

I would prefer Kid Gloves. I think Kid Gloves/ Middletown Dreams would be great!

Also: Drop Force Ten for: Open Secret/ Lock and Key

and Manhattan Project with: Losing It/ Tears

and Bravado/ The Pass for: Show Don't Tell/ Test For Echo

Basically I want to see songs live that haven't been included in one of their DVDs.

Force 10 -> Prime Mover or Open Secrets

Bravado / The Pass -> Vapor Trail/Chain Lightning

Far Cry -> Freewill

Red Sector A -> The Weapon

Love your changes. They mirror my own except for Far Cry to Freewill I'd go Far Cry -> Beneath, Between and Behind.

-- Swap Subdivisions for Chemistry (An even stronger song, in my book, and it's beginning sounds more like a concert opener to my ears. If this is beyond credible, then bump Big Money to #1, and play Chemistry after it. )

-- Nix Force Ten for Animate (I'm new here, but you can probably gather I like this one ;))

-- Swap The Pass / Bravado for The Big Wheel (Great, underrated, song - don't think ever played before)

-- Lose Far Cry for After Image (I actually like Far Cry quite a bit -- but, it loses something as a live song. And --- just no contest! AM is such a moving, emotional tune. Would so love to hear and see Alex play that solo live.)

Now that we're almost a month away from to the beginning of the second leg, lets see I how feel about this:

1. Out The Body Electric In Middletown Dreams (Permanently)

2. Out Bravado/ The Pass in Limelight

3. Out Wish them Well in Losing It (Placed after the Garden)

4. Out Manhattan Project in Xanadu (Placed after YYZ)

I have some good ones:

Replace "The Body Electric" with "MYSTIC RHYTHMS" ("Middletown Dreams" can stay, I like that song).

Drop "Bravado" and keep "THE PASS" in permanently.

Replace "Where's My Thing?" with "MALIGNANT NARCISSISM" and add "LIMELIGHT" afterward to make up for the time difference.

Add "LA VILLA STRANGIATO." It would sound amazing with the strings! Add it before "The Spirit of Radio" and put "YYZ" at the end of the set. I'm sure they can incorporate strings into "The Spirit of Radio!"
