Def Leppard

Have any TRF members seen Def Leppard on their current tour? I'm seeing them in a few weeks and I want to know what too look forward too. I really like them and their touring with Poison.

you can look forward to the same as the last few tours. A jukebox trotting out a fairly short set of their greatest hits and fat joe struggling to hit any notes at all, let alone the high ones.

I just travelled from New Jersey to Pittsburgh to see them.

 

I had front seats and the show was amazing!

 

Lita Ford was pretty good...sadly she played to an almost empty venue as few people had filed in by then.

 

The big surprise for me was Poison.

 

I wasn't prepared for how good they would be.

 

I bought their greatest hits record to prime for the show and they played the hits.

 

As a band, they were tight as could be.

 

I was going to skip the first two acts and am glad I didn't.

 

Def Leppard was truly amazing...of course stuck to the hits.

 

Opened with their new song from "Mirrorball" entitled, "Undefeated". The crowd was into it.

 

Def Leppard, as a band, is always spot on.

 

Joe Elliott's voice was picture perfect the night I saw them.

 

TRF member, USB Connector posted a great review in the concert review section. (Page 23 from 17 July).

It would be worth it just to see them do "gods of war" if they still sound decent doing it.   I last saw them about 7 or 8 years ago and they sounded OK but the set list was pretty vanilla. All the hits basically.

While Undefeated is this by definition, it sounds great live. Personally I would say anything after Hysteria is overproduced radio fodder.

Got my tickets today, dead center about 18 rows back, which for this ampitheatre, is not bad by anymeans. Show's tomorrow and I can't wait!
