Sounds like they either aren't hi-resolution, or your utility transcoded them to 44.1kHz. 44.1 khz is the sampling rate of CD. If your utility has transcoded down to this then you basically have 24 bit cd quality, rather than 16 bit (which is CD native). Since no more dynamic range is being used, the tracks should sound the same as regular CD. Why did you transcode them anyway? Your bluray player should be able to play the native bit depth.
