reani14
I seen both that summer. the big police reunion tour. and the snakes tour. within 2 weeks apart. I must say its funny in 1982/83 both bands played their songs super fast and sped up. Now both toured in summer of 2007 and both bands played all their stuff in low slow tempo.. thats strange.. Btw, that police show was the worst concert i ever been to. Very boring.. Quess its hard to top after seeing rush 2 weeks before..
presto123
Police blu-ray is incredible picture wise. Amazing. It's a good show I just don't like how Sting changes all the arrangements and stuff. I prefer the songs to sound more like studio live.
reani14
I got the blu ray and the performance was great and sting sounded good, much better than what i saw in concert. but i hated how slow the arrangements were.. The picture and sting had a good night. He really nailed the high notes during synchronicity
USB Connector
Sometimes I think god just decided to spike Rush and The Police's drinks for a good laugh, because both concerts were horrible at the slower tempo (I saw some videos online/S&A DVD). youngoldman
I read an interview with Sting about that "reunion tour" and he said after just a few shows he realized this was a bad idea. He said the three of them just couldn't get on the same page while on the stage. Shame, too, I wanted to see them.
lerxt1990
I saw that show, and I thought it was good and a lot of fun.

goose
QUOTE (metaldad @ Nov 11 2011, 05:44 PM) I saw The Police in 1980 and 81. F that 2007 cash grab I wasn't interested, either. I saw the Syncronicity show and it rocked. Even then I could see the tension among the three of them though. I always thought it was cool they (Sting, at least) called it quits at the peak of their game.
reani14
that explains why you dont hear anything from them after the tour. it was a one shot deal to score some extra cash, well, at least for stewart and andy who were starting to embark on book signings at conventions..
