Can anyone else not get that Dexy's Midnight Runners song out of their head when Hurricane Irene is mentioned? It's driving me nuts.

 

Hope everyone in the path of the storm stays safe!!!

I know what you mean. Except the song is called "come on, Eileen", not Irene.

 

North Carolina is evacuating. Let's see how the northeast handles it.

I know it's Eileen...but it doesn't really help with the problem.

actually, i'm not hearing that song so much as a Joan Crawford bellow in a movie called "Sudden Fear" where she goes "Lester! That's Irene!" before he plows a car into her thinking it's Joan he's chasing.

looking at the latest map (as of 8:00 this evening), Boston is directly in its path. I'm guessing it would hit here around 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
